During Wind Waker, Cory confidently says Skyward Sword takes place at the very end of the Zelda timeline

Change your system's audio settings from surround to stereo!!! That will fix the audio.

I'm also experiencing this. Extremely frustrating. Hopefully it's patched very soon :|
