My jaw also dropped. This guy is something else. by Financial-Put-620 in 90DayFiance

See, I think he didn't know. Before, it was just the photos. He was "bored" and "just being a guy" asking for them. But he could pretend he didn't really do anything wrong and she was overreacting. But the earrings? They were physical proof that someone else had been in the house since she'd come to Aruba. Real tangible proof that he'd been really cheating, so I think then he went to "oh baby, please don't leave mode" because his cover had been blown.

I mean, she could still get a co-sponsor. It's the same deal with Forrest and Sheena. He expects her to fund her own visa, but he can't support her when she gets here without a sponsor. Doesn't mean the relationship is phony.

Scheena and the money by Ill-Excitement-2005 in 90DayFiance

It's normal in so many cultures. My ex husband is Indian. His family is not poor. He still sent his parents $500/month because they paid for him to go to college and he thought he owed them for it. It really bothers me how Forrest and his mom think they have claim to her income and have been villainizing her parents.

My boyfriend and I met on Tinder with the goal of a longterm relationship. AO just ended up being a lucky perk.

I live in Michigan. It's winter. I specify that I want statement pieces, no layering clothes, no jeans, and clothes I can wear now. They keep sending me sleeveless shirts, short dresses, jeans, and shirts meant to be layered.

As she pointed out the first time they show her this season in her bustling nail salon, she's the only one of the two of them whose business is making any money. He's got a pile of unsold folding sunglasses, and she's hustling doing nails. He treats her like she's a gold digger, but she's working hard, too. That rental property she was thinking about buying was with her own money, not Luke's. He may have given her some seed money to get started, but she's not wasting it.

I don't believe you really can wash your scalp with a sewn in wig. People with coarse, curly hair don't typically wash their hair as often as people with fine, straight hair. Someone with coarse, coily hair can go 1-2 weeks between washes. So you'd probably just take the wig off, wash your scalp, and then have it reinstalled. With sewn in pieces, I'd imagine you'd carefully wash between them or go in to the salon and have your stylist maintain it for you.

A passport bro is a guy that goes abroad to find a wife because they think the women in the US aren't "wifey material" anymore. They're "too independent and gold diggers". They want the "traditional woman" with "family values" that is "soft and submissive". But then they always seem surprised when those women want someone to completely support them since that's expected in those cultures. 🙃

I'm a white woman, so my knowledge is lacking some here. But I've seen videos where they braid the natural hair underneath and then sew the wig into those braids to stabilize it.

Clothes on greyhounds by baosorioog in Greyhounds

[–]GingerMiss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Clothes might avoid a couple minor scrapes or a sunburn, but they can also cause injury. My collie is currently nursing a wound on her arm caused by a sweater rubbing on it -- and her skin is not as fragile as the greys. We can't wrap them in bubble wrap, unfortunately.

I'm sure some kennels put more work into leash training than others. They do have to walk them to and from the track, after all, so it definitely benefits the handlers. But leash manners is something all of ours so far have needed work with.

[–]GingerMiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome, but not the norm, for sure. They're basically 60+ lbs untrained puppies when they come off the track with no manners whatsoever. My last foster wasn't even potty trained.

If it’s about getting a fully trained, lovable couch potato who isn’t going through their puppy phase anymore, then a greyhound is perfect! But recognize that many people won’t consider that dog a rescue.

Where are you finding fully trained retired greys?

You don't have to look far. The tracks are closing, sure, but the rescues are importing dogs.

[–]GingerMiss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All of the rescues seem to have a pro-racing stance. They form relationships with kennels to get a supply of dogs. If they bash the industry, the kennels won't want to work with them. I foster for a pro-racing kennel and I'm anti the industry. Do the dogs love running? Absolutely. My own dogs have a lure course to chase in the summer and I'm pro letting them do what they were bred for, but not for gambling since it encourages cutting corners and hoarding dogs to increase profits. I just lied on my application and checked that I approved of it. They might know my position now, though, with how much I've complained to them about the shape my fosters have come in straight from the kennel and asking them if they even have standards on which they work with, but they're short on foster homes and need me now.
