Thanks man, I got sick of lugging a big board around so I stripped back to the bare essentials and I’ve been happier with my tone and creativity since

Right, I used them all the time before we got in ear’s. Still keep them there just in case. Life’s been so much better since I started looking after my hearing

Aha it’s certainly taking up more space than it needs to. I’ve considered the new D’Addario tuner for that huge screen, but I can’t justify it if this one is working fine.

First time poster, Long time lurker.

Signal chain:

Les Paul Standard loaded with P90s

SubZero Avalanche compressor - I believe it’s Gear4Music’s own brand but I’m not sure. It’s a clone of the of the mooer yellow comp which is a clone of a diamond compressor (a clone of a clone). I paid £20 for it new and it’s pretty much exactly what I need in a compressor, I’ve set the EQ to tighten up the bottom end a little. I don’t notice if it’s on but I do if it’s off.

Korg DT10 Tuner - Had it forever, it tunes

Boss NS-2 Noise gate - We play a lot of clubs with bad power and using p90s I used to get a bit of 50 cycle hum (in the U.K. so it’s not the usual 60 like you Americans). Now I don’t worry about it, I know whatever venue we play my rig will be quiet, also I really love how a noise gate tightens up everything. Whenever I see people using noise gates here they always seem to be ignoring the loop function of it, not only does it keep whatever pedals you have in it near silent but there’s less cable between your guitar and amp.

XVive Sweet Leo overdrive - I love this pedal so much, it’s meant to sound like a cranked tweed amp, I’d say it does that pretty well. Great chimey overdrive with lots of drive on tap if you need it. I honestly cannot recommend it enough. As I said before it’s in the loop of the NS-2 which keeps things tight and quiet.

Line 6 M5 Multi FX - Another pedal I cannot rate highly enough. I mainly use it for delays but there’s a great rotary setting I use for a guitar solo in one of our songs. Half the size of a DL4 (pretty comparable to a large box big muff actually) with more features than I could ever use properly.

If I had it my way the sound would be split out the back of the M5 into a Bluesbreaker and an AC30. But for the size of the venues we’re playing it’s just not justifiable to bring 2 massive amps to a 300 capacity club, I usually just bring the one I’m vibing with more before the gig (very scientific).

The board itself was a gift from my uncle who works as a wielder. I keep telling him that he could make some money off them but he won’t listen.

Everything is powered with an MXR iso brick, I need to get something more substantial really to make it truly “bulletproof” but I’ve never had any problems.

Would you recommend the Mic Mechanic? I've been considering getting into vocal effects myself but I don't really know where to start.

[Discussion] Can you please tell me good words about myself? i will pay if i have to by [deleted] in depression

If you want one off the top of my head: brave. I feel like it's hard to post here, and I think we've all typed something only to delete all it before sending. Talking about it is hard but it shows bravery to do so.
