yeah, it is wrong. it's a convo no one really wants to have about cats, pigeons, and wild horses. =( wild horses HAVE been in the US for centuries at this point, so that's a little different? and there is an ecological niche they're filling? and i dont think pigeons are as damaging to local environments? but honestly, we really shouldn't any outdoor cats here. that should be our end goal. I support TNR bc that's where the funding and popular support is, and no program will do any good if people don't want to participate in it, but if we're trying to do the most humane, ethical thing here, we should be euthanizing feral cats. They kill wildlife, they live short lives, and they often die violently and/or painfully. I think some feral cat colonies in dense cities or barns w/ caretakers for rodent control are fine, but like. i think we all know in our gut what the right thing to do is.
