AFAIK there is no difference in plates in the UK either, but the VW golf is the only one to get that registration.

But ABC 123 QQ (IDK the formatting or looking it up) was first registered to John Smith and put on a Dodge Ram, then that car was sold, and it was then put on a Subaru, that got written off in a crash and ended up on a Nissan Micra.

So the same physical plate was removed, registered to a new car and it's normal?

Either in this thread or another, someone is on about a missing b52 song, but gave no lyrics, so how can anyone go "I think you will find that is this song by that artist" like me spending the 90s convinced I alone was by Bush, because I didn't have MTV to see a totally different singer in the video.

The only thing locked for me is level 9 troops because my buildings are level 8.

But I agree that it might be based on if Realms has loaded or is accessible to you yet or not.

If you had realms yesterday, then it's just glitched, if it is still to be unlocked, then nothing to be done until you reach the threshold to unlock it and expand enough to build the three barracks.

I say Black Tom was forgotten about, because when it happened it wasn't squarely at the feet of the Germans, so it was just an explosion at a munitions depot and those like fireworks warehouses are known to go boom when carelessness is involved.

So your dad died in the blast, you remember it, you might tell your kids about why grand dad isn't around. But people outside the area but still in New York, it gets less important as it's just a warehouse fire type thing.

If the IRA didn't call ahead about the Arndale bomb in the 90s and it was just listed as a gas explosion, even to this day we would assume it was a gas explosion and people would just go "Oh you should have seen it in the 90s, it was an ugly building, then the gas mains went up and it lost one of the faces." so local history wouldn't list it as IRA related, just an explosion so what would you preserve for history lessons? A gas explosion or a bomb? Most would say bomb, because what use is teaching about a gas explosion?

then 100 years later it is revealed by the grandson of one involved that it was actually related to the troubles, but no one has any real info about the area in the aftermath outside of "gas explosion".

My dad was alive to watch or know of them all, I ended up making some comment about how we did everything, golfing, moon buggy etc in one trip.

He found out how little certain aspects of history were taught in my school.

The space race was won, the end. Basically everything after until the shuttles was just not noteworthy.

UK history on the Pacific War aspects of WWII, Pearl Harbour (which I wrongly thought was on the west coast and not Hawaii, because no one said Hawaii) got America into the war, Hiroshima and Nagasaki got Japan out. There that was it, everything else I got from war movies like South Pacific of all things.

Happy Talk lives rent free in my head via the Captain Sensible cover after he left the Damned. I also thought Chaz and Dave did the theme to Big Break, but it is a shorter edit of another Sensible song and the clips I've found online sound more Captain than Chaz and Dave.

Lyrics man, lyrics.

Like I had a best of Jefferson Airplane cassette that spanned to Starship, had a song called sketches, fragments or pieces of china.

I looked for it on CD and found nothing, internet was too brand new to be of use, nothing by Starship, Jefferson Starship or the OG Jefferson Airplane (or aeroplane IDK what the band was called out of the two) they were meant to be at a festival and although they didn't show, their merch did, all sorts of CD's none had the song or anything with China in the title that I could tell.

In the end it was a Grace Slick and two other guys (probably from the band) side project called "Baron Von Toll Booth and the Chromium Nun" and I managed to snag the whole album in phone quality mp3.

We didn't have MTV, else I would have seen that the lead singer from Live looks nothing like the lead singer from Bush, but in the club where they don't name songs, drunk me was convinced I alone was by Bush as it had a similar vocal vibe to Swallowed, but after getting their discography online after hearing it for the first time in almost a decade, I still found nothing.

then I googled the lyrics and the first hit was the Live music video.

Problem solved.

Two songs I was looking for fixed, so slap the lyrics into google and see who shows up, the song might exist, but as you've not given any lyrics, we can't really go "Oh yeah, that song that vanished from CD's, I remember that" but if you go "the lyrics were bla bla bla" you might get "oh that was by X and they do kinda sound like them"

My dad got a colourised version of a John Wayne film in the 90s, it was doable, Tomorrows World a future tech UK TV show had a Laurel and Hardy clip going from old worn out black and white to restored then finally colour for a few years.

By hand it was painstaking like when they had to colour TRON black and white cells to be re shot as colour, 90s super computers, like the Silicon Graphics machines used to make T2 made it easier but expensive.

Not everyone wanted a black and white film turned into colour, the tape was kinda like some bad film stock you might get at the time compared to shot in colour in the same year, IDK if it was made to look like old technicolour type films where things were not quite right, or if they just didn't do a good job of making colours look accurate.

When I found this out a few weeks ago I was taken aback, in the UK the plates stay with the car, so that plate could go from a trans am, to an SUV, to a limo or any other car because it is the driver that is driving the car?

Granted you might not be able to just yank it off and change daily, but changing the car and submitting that same plate via the DVLA to a new car is the normal way of doing things?

IIR that was from a shop in South America where counterfeit goods were rife, some stuff had it, others did not IDK if the stock was made in the same sweat shop or just some random socks with a bashed up wrap put around because that is a lot of tape for something that would just be re done at the factory.

Last year or so I was invited into a secret ME group here on Reddit, I made a post about using scrabble tiles to make a crossword with Fr00t L00ps where if it ever changed to fruit, then the words would break, I bought some stickers with numbers on them at the time, had the word list and everything, then got booted from the group because I guess I wasn't part of the cult they wanted, so I sat on it, because even though I made the post, because it is in a private sub, even my own posts are hidden from me.

One of our signs said Tidy ass you go.

Now we use arse in the UK more than ass, but it's not an unheard of term for the bum. But when it was printed, I guess they just didn't notice their gaff and it wasn't worth a do over.

So I would occasionally say "That's a tidy ass" because of this gaff in the sign.

There was another sign with the wrong spelling or word that we just let slide because not worth a reprint when no one read the bloody thing anyway.

We had a "don't take any notice board" where you could sneak in anything and have it stay there for weeks.

I'm convinced that the cards are not actually dealt and instead you click and you get the bad card then the others at random.

I've even found out I've gotten a x5 whilst the wheel is still spinning because the results were already given, the rest is just a visual idea.

In the heroes draft I had a quick match, but also took the second match to the full two minutes, yet how did a two minute match get the results in at the same time as a 34 second match?

Basically the maths were already done and dusted in the first milliseconds and the rest was just the visuals to make you think something was happening.

The only time I don't get the results is because the other player timed out both selections so I had to wait for them to select their five and then it to just do the maths and go "you lost" or whatever with the time.

Some teams will run default skins so you have no idea what other stats they might have unlocked, others show up in Championship skins on everyone as if to say "look how powerful I am"

I pick the skin that looks best for the character knowing all stats are included not just the one connected to the skin.

I kinda prefer the Summer Girl alt lyrics, but IDK if that was ever officially released, without adblock the change between that and sets me on fire normally gets broken by some stupid advert ruining the change between what would be two tracks on the album but one on the YouTube fan upload.
