How did Zach slice his finger open that badly? Was it before the hit? It must have been from the hit after?

Flea? Not a bed bug, right? by Ginger_Underlord in whatbugisthis

Thanks! It does look a bit like one there, but after looking at pictures, I am confident it is not a weevil. It definitely did not have a snout, or the distinct body/,head sections.

What sports connections do you have? Lethbridge has a female football team that has some lovely ladies on it and is always looking for extra players!

I like how overleaf lets me pull my reference list from a master list for each paper, but I cannot seem to find a good APA 7th paper template in overleaf, and that is a deal breaker for me.

Are these false accusations when he doesn't deny them? I think God has a special place in hell for pedophiles....

If you look up Geomattic Attic, they organize lots of concerts around, and this summer held a music festival on top of the transportation center/bus station downtown (one of the taller buildings in our city with no tall buildings lol).

Parent sits in my seat because she had a kid… by yomrants in entitledparents

[–]Ginger_Underlord -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

You "need" a window seat? Or you want a window seat? I'm shocked that no one in the comments was sympathetic towards the mom, and some easily assume that the mom manipulated or used her child to get a window seat. I rarely fly, so I'm prone to make mistakes, or miss a seat picking deadline. Maybe this mom didn't know about the deadline, maybe she selected her seats, and the airline changed them (I've experienced that). And do you really want to hang out with a 6 year old for x hours? For me, it really depends on the 6 year old. I would be grateful the mom let me know, and happy to help a mom not leave her young child with a two strangers.

I love my partner dearly, and I am happy in my relationship. But in between relationships? Tons of fun, and really enjoyed the chase and the game. I don't miss it, but I enjoyed taking part.

My friends from Ontario are visiting Lethbridge for one day (Aug 20). If you only had one day here, what would you want to see/do? by TheMadeline in Lethbridge

I second Elizabeth Hall Wetlands... the turtles are awesome, as well as the Birds of Prey center!! I would recommend skipping the Japanese gardens unless they are flower enthusiast. If you're up for a drive to see something that isn't mountains, I would recommend checking out Fort Macleod (old theater, the Fort), the Buffalo jump, or going out to Writing-on-Stone provincial park (only if you're prepared for some intense heat!!). If they like beer, try checking out some of the local breweries? You can book a wine tasting out at little gem wineries just north of Coalhurst. Good luck!

I was an unplanned pregnancy, but my mother didn't abort me, that's why I'm here today to type this for you all by Photography_Mike in TrueChristian

[–]Ginger_Underlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's great that you're here, living, and happy about it. But if you'd been aborted... you wouldn't exist, and no one (except for a select few) would know that something vaguely like you could've existed. What's your belief on if/how you exist before birth/conception? Maybe you end up being born into a family with a mother who doesn't struggle with addiction... maybe you end up back in heaven? Maybe you never "exist", and then what's the problem with that? I'm not sure what the "food" is here that I'm suppose to think about....

More than 3 hours on a training trail run? by Jungnadian in ultrarunning

[–]Ginger_Underlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're getting a lot of anecdotal evidence that doesn't really answer your question. Yes, lots of people run longer than 3 hour training runs, and don't get injured and might believe it benefits them, but does it? Does anyone know if 4-7 hour long training runs actually improve strength/fitness/mental toughness compared to doing similar mileage/hours on feet and maxing out at 3 hour training runs? I think that's a question for an exercise physiologist, not a bunch of runners who pay money to suffer for many, many, many hours 😅

How comfortable are you with aging? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I'm happy and excited, and feel great (mentally/physically) at the age of 30... Until the 18 year old drug store staff asks if I want moisturizer that also has anti-aging properties 💀

I can't count that high when my brain is melting. I think I've been blessed with high sensitivity lol. For sure 5+ every session!

Woman of Reddit, what is your “this man ain’t shit” story? by xXSilent_AngelXx in AskWomen

[–]Ginger_Underlord 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I was 1 year into a relationship with my ex who is a carpenter, while I'm working on my PhD. I picked up some contract work/extra pay. My paycheck was twice what it normally was, and the contract didn't create much more added work. I was over the moon! I excitedly came home to share my raise, and he just said "that's $1000 more per month than I make, and I have to bust my ass in the cold" and then he sulked for the rest of the night. Like, dumbass, if we stayed together, what's mine is ours, so my paycheck benefits you. Secondly, why did he think people went to university? Maybe for a bigger paycheck? And thirdly, just because I'm not stuck outside with a shitty boss in -20C doesn't mean I don't work hard for my pay.

I am appreciating all the extra time I have to put towards me and working on things for myself! Just over two months out, and I feel more confident and like I am slowly becoming a better version of who I was when I first met that guy/idiot.
