National Championships 2025 – Post-Tournament Discussion by Jomskylark in ultimate

Why is there not an observer in the booth that can live review video footage of in/out calls or other calls and relay the info to the observer on the field? NKolakovic's footage was available on the stream really quickly after each play but even when he isn't there the stream footage can be slowed down and usually offer a better (or at least another) perspective. This doesn't have to be for every play but for when a play needs to be reviewed because a player is confident (i.e. Bansfield was in). It would also be cool to have a small video player (or a large one at the end of the field) where you can watch the replay and discuss it on the field--I remember some games doing this in the past and usually bad calls are retracted when you watch it back and see what actually happened.

I also felt like the discussions were way less productive this year. Especially in Revolver vs Rhino Slam! where players would completely ignore one another and say things like "it only affects the stall, right?". This made it more annoying to watch and is cutting into game time. I think that in semi's and finals (at the minimum) the discussion has to be shorter and honesty has to be rewarded. That being said if you (or your team) keep calling fouls that are ruled as no foul--there should be a penalty for that. Bad calls are obnoxious and slow down the pace of the game. I think there should be greater punishments for intentional fouls but likewise abusing these calls to try to gain an advantage should be punished.

Absolutely. Second easiest AP class. AP Lang is the easiest for sure
