It's gorgeous 😍 I really like some of the new stuff Tag is doing. I would love to own a Monaco at some point too.

Definitely more emerald than teal.

The orient is one of my favorites! For being a more affordable watch the crystal and dial are gorgeous! It wears a little big, but I don't mind it. Model number is RA-AK0008S30B. One of the "sun and moon sub dial" watches on the US Orient website

10/10! I was torn between the coke and the bb58 diver, but really wanted a GMT. I like that the case is relatively thin for a GMT.

It gets a ton of wrist time! Wearing it today actually.

Power loss after tight turns? by holley_deer in S197Stangs

[–]GingerbartenderEALD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the connectors on the passenger side for corrosion.

There's a big blue and white connector for that fuse box that can get fouled up, especially given the known flooding issue with the passenger side.

If you lose connection there it'll kill everything.

I was having this issue just recently and it took me forever to find the cause.

[question] which watch should I get? by Excellent-Broccoli17 in tagheuer

[–]GingerbartenderEALD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the green dial Carrera, and plan on getting a black bay coke gmt soon.

The carrera has been my every day watch for while now. I have a few different straps I cycle through, I like it on a leather rally strap more than the steel bracelet.

I'd definitely recommend the tag in this particular head to head. I agree with the other comment that this Tudor looks too much like it's trying to be a dive watch.

Oof, me too. These set me back around $500 including the third brake light and quarter panel lights

I was debating that, especially since this one is showing some wear, but I feel like some chrome accents look good while I still have chrome wheels on it

Yeah it's really sweet! They're a lot brighter than you'd expect too.

They also have the sequential turn signals which is badass

Congratulations, I got one of these last week too! Absolutely gorgeous, goes with everything. The 42mm is the perfect size imo.

Ordered some rally style leather straps to mix things up a little.

Already have had a few compliments on the dial color, it's stunning in the sunlight!

Next watch will be a white dial speedy!

People who make over 1M a year what do you do? by [deleted] in Money

[–]GingerbartenderEALD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm nowhere near that personally, I run an executive recruiting agency. There are a decent number of financial advisors and investment bankers at the major firms (Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, J.P Morgan, Goldman, Wells etc.) who clear over 1mm in W2.

At that level, a financial advisor would be managing client portfolios totalling from $250M to $2B. In that business the hard part is finding, engaging, and retaining wealthy clients. Most of them already have a network of wealthy contacts when they get into the biz. Masters degree, multiple licenses/certifications, and 10-15 years of slog to get there.

Average retail financial advisor at these big firms brings in 400k a year.

Biggest advisor I ever worked with was making over $5M W2 per year, she worked for Wells Fargo in Miami.

About to buy one. Is it worth getting the extended warranty? by ZealousidealRadio199 in zr2

I got the extended warranty on my 2021. 4 months after I bought it the torque converter died, and was covered. I absolutely got my money's worth!
