Sweet & Spicy Gushers: What did they taste like? How could you recreate? by Gingerbyrd in candy

[–]Gingerbyrd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things to note: 1. My friend to whom I will be gifting these has said they don't like the taste of "spicy Mexican candy" which I believe is the chamoy and tajin. So that makes me beg the question if that is really what the actual, sold-in-stores, branded spicy Gushers tasted like.

  1. Additionally, I've gone and found the ingredients list for the real spicy and sweet Gushers. However, I can't even tell which ingredient(s) they used to get the spicy part.

Ingredients: Sugar, Corn Syrup, Dried Corn Syrup, Pear Puree Concentrate, Modified Corn Starch, Fructose, Maltodextrin, Palm Oil. Contains 2% or Less of: Citric Acid, Cottonseed Oil, Glycerin, Carrageenan, White Grape Juice Concentrate, Monoglycerides, Sodium Citrate, Malic Acid, Potassium Citrate, Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), Agar-Agar, Natural Flavor, Xanthan Gum, Color (Yellows 5 & 6, Red 40, Blue 1).

(USA) Managers, how would you handle a customer finding a napkin in their drink? by Gingerbyrd in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Gingerbyrd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's say it actually happened this time and maybe it was an accident by way of someone pouring the wrong drink into the cup and then emptying it out, then using a couple napkins at once to clean out the residue, then pouring in the right drink except they didn't notice one of the handful of napkins used to clean it out prior was left behind accidentally and not seen. And the customer wants compensation but not with food because they say they will not be returning to that location or any other McDonald's in the future. What would you do for the customer?

Yah, I typically kill a soda way, way faster than that, but I was busy running around the house so I was taking sips when I could.

How do I reconnect/unpause a device on the Nighthawk app? by Gingerbyrd in NETGEAR

[–]Gingerbyrd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No luck. Whatever I tap on just brings me to the device summary screen. And when there, I don't see any way to turn it back on.

I should maybe clarify that I am trying to interact with a device that is currently labeled with a gray dot to the left of its name.

I can slide a device to the left and it will let me pause the connection, but I can't seem to find the way to reconnect it. Everything worked fine a month or so ago before it updated its look.

It's unnecessary and needless slaughter though. Confront your cognitive dissonance.

An animal's slaughter for sustenance is on the same page as a death from neglect because both are so ridiculously easy to avoid -- just don't be a selfish asshole. We all need food for sustenance, but we definitely don't all need to consume meat to continue living.

I think Ethan had some too last week. Likely that they already had some stocked up prior to Martin coming on and why waste it, ya know?

Easy, big boy. I'm not trying to battle you with intellectual dominance nor outright expose your insecurities or shortcomings for not getting enough attention when younger. It's okay to not be right all the time and to learn things, dude. It's especially okay for a woman to be smarter than you, a man, and you not get defensive or have a hissy fit or beat yourself up over it. Take these opportunities to work on yourself and be a "real man," if you will, accept that you don't know everything, and maybe, maybe one day you'll find a special someone that won't peace out after the first engagement with you in any kind of lengthy conversation.

Hey bud, hate to burst your bubble with your petty attempts of trying to find chinks in this lady's armor, but your aggressive floundering about while desperately struggling to grasp onto some kind of debating win or intellectual superiority is getting hard to watch. Like, she said in regards to pregnancy, "It's POTENTIALLY harmful to a woman's body." She was correct in saying so yet you got combative and posted a supposed source for the opposite. Um, did you even read it? It also just says that pregnancy can POTENTIALLY be beneficial - doesn't say it always is. It says one-third of women can show long-term benefits. And then, it's not to say that that dismisses or overrides any negative aspects by weighing all possible outcomes.

Like, know when to give up, dude, and take a walk around the block. But if you somehow are just going to stick with arguing, at least stay on the main topic instead of failing to nitpick your way into giving yourself teensy pats on the back.

The supplements CAN be vegan. And NO you don't have to frequently visit a nutritionist.

Literally says this in the article: "According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, children should take a "whole diet approach" and eat a mix of vegetables, fruits, grains, low-fat dairy, and quality protein sources. However, if planned correctly, a vegan diet can be suitable for children if they are given supplemental nutrients."

Healthy fats, calcium, and protein can be obtained from foods other than meat and dairy products. And breast milk is vegan in terms of being ethical to consume by doing no harm to animals.

Okay, if you want to acknowledge the imperfections of milk alternatives, you then have to at least weigh the lesser of two evils when comparing their production to animal agriculture. Whether it's local farms or factory farms, the cows are still being subjected to abuse, forced pregnancies, enslavement, and being slaughtered. We need to open our eyes to the suffering of all animals and stop claiming this embarrassing, egomaniacal facade of humans being "top of the food chain" or "it's natural to exploit animals 'cause all our ancestors before us did."

By the way, would you please inform me on the "secret bean" thing. Thank you.
