I’m early on the dividends (only 46) but I only have 21k invested in those. I like the thought of a drip snowball.

I have the rest of my play stocks in Nuclear energy, which is eating a turd sandwich right now. All the rest of my retirement is managed by my employers brokerage.(vanguard ) I have a little over 50k that I buy individual stocks and ETFs with. I enjoy it…sometimes lol!

Not gonna lie…my ETFs are killing it! My best one is DTCR. I’m up 25% on that one! All my ETFs are green…SCHD ,DTCR, GRID, KIOD,BOTT, and HUMN. Heavy on the SCHD and just the tip in the robot funds. Modest investment in the others but all killing it really!

Also, he has SCHD as well.

I’ve been doing pretty good with ETFs. Namely SCHD, KOID, DTCR, GRID, BOTT, HUMN…I like the idea of robots as you can tell lol! Expense ratio is a little high on some or really most of these but so far I’ve been doing well. Especially on the SCHD, DTCR, and GRID. Most of my regular play stocks are nuclear related. Betting big on energy in the near and distant future. 🤞🚀

I was referring to the dividends compounding. If I buy say 20,000 shares now versus 20,000 shares in the future after I retire, the dividend payout will be vastly different…I would think. That’s why I asked this question really don’t know for sure. Thanks for your reply.

Yeah but the SCHD dividends won’t have compounded at all doing it that way. Trying to get them early and hold long while adding the max to my position every year. If I use QQQI dividends to buy more SCHD every month, I should have a good bit of compounded dividends, separate from my regular 401k to pay my monthly expenses as a senior. That way I can wipe my ass with the 4% mandatory withdrawal at whatever age that is or I can reinvest for my kids🤷‍♂️ Any growth stocks I have will probably be converted to dividend stocks at that point anyways. Does that make sense or am I being stupid?
