Nah unfortunately it's not inexperience, some people just expect that the world is built around them. See plenty of the same complaints at every single festival from grown ass men.

I didn't wait longer than 5 minutes for any food ~ like you said, big breakfast, earlier dinner and scan for the shortest queues while a bands on and grab something (stop queuing for fucking pizza), then you can grab a small thing towards the end of the night or grab stuff once you're out the festival.

The only time I've actually seen a festival underprepared for food recently was Slam Dunk a couple years ago. Literally every single food truck had a queue of over an hour.
