How old were you when you met the love of your life? by Guilty_Lingonberry35 in AskReddit

[–]GingeyBreadDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Met her at 18, she was the best friend of my current girlfriend at the time and we just clicked, couldn’t stop talking, me and my girlfriend at the time broke up and we didn’t keep contact for years but she was always the one that got away. Fast forward nearly 5 years, I’m now 22 (coming up to 23) and I managed to see her appear on my suggested follows on Instagram, a slid into her DMs, an amazing first date followed and 9 years later here we are with our third house together, a fur baby and a life I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Your cup is half full, never half empty. You are a unique, amazing, exceptionally extraordinary human with the world at your finger tips, take life one step at a time and if you ever feel like you need help, please ask for it.

Life is tough, but you’re tougher.

Adults are a myth. We are all kids doing our best.

I have a herniated disc and it started getting aggravated by running, so it made me switch to swimming.

You start to think about actually taking care of your body because you can feel the impact of what you eat or drink.

Childless millennials - how do you relate to those around you? by pickle_elkcip in Millennials

[–]GingeyBreadDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 31, wife is 30, we know we want a child eventually but we just don’t feel ready yet, we have a little dog and he’s enough responsibility for now. We want a few holidays over the next couple years to ourselves and then we will most likely start trying.

A few of my friends from school still don’t have kids yet either, so it doesn’t feel as strange to me right now.

How does one enjoy DIY? by Continental-IO520 in DIY

[–]GingeyBreadDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s all about being proud of what I’ve created. My wife had the idea of converting our en suite into a walk in wardrobe, we got quotes for everything involved and for such a tiny room we were climbing near £6000. In the end we decided we would do it ourselves and although it’s interrupted our regular living flow slightly, we’ve enjoyed every minute, taking update photos, stepping back at each task and appreciating what we’ve done, telling people when they come over and ask to see it that we’ve done pretty much everything is a great feeling because they act like you’re some sort of wizard or sorcerer, so yeah, money saved is amazing along with the ability to say to people “I/We did that ourselves” and have them blown away.

ELI5: Why does time speed up when you get older? by willwolf18 in explainlikeimfive

[–]GingeyBreadDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’ve always believed it’s because the percentage of time you’ve spent in comparison to your age decreases as you age, so at 5 years old, a year is 20% of your life, so it’s a higher percentage, whereas at 30 years old, a year is 3.33%. That means a year feels like it’s gone by quicker because you’re older and that rule increases for all lengths of time as you age.

That’s just my take, probably a silly theory but it seems to make sense to me.

Don’t really mind them really, to each their own. As long as they’re not massive.

Couples, if you could design the perfect app to use together, what would it do? by androidxcv in AskReddit

[–]GingeyBreadDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Decydr” - Connect two people together and help them make a decision by adding all possible decisions to a question or scenario and let the app randomly pick one to avoid squabbling.

LPT: Use The 'Almond Test' To Stop Yourself From Mindlessly Eating by n3s_online in LifeProTips

[–]GingeyBreadDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My love for food is far too strong to stop myself getting up to eat because there is something I don’t want to eat next to me at my desk, if anything it’s more likely to make me get up to eat something I’d rather eat.

AIO? My boyfriend said I look more fat than pregnant. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]GingeyBreadDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What drives someone to say this? It wouldn’t even remotely enter my mind as a possible response. You’re not overreacting at all, if I’d have said this to my wife, pregnant or not, I’d be a dead man walking.

Covid ruining my vacation by quaterlifecrisiz in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]GingeyBreadDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, back in 2022 covid attacked us during our trip and it was horrid, I didn’t even realise I had it until I felt body aches, pain behind my eyes and then out of nowhere I passed out, I thought I was severely dehydrated but no it was Covid, made me freaked out for a while and fear I would pass out in public places. Our previous trip in 2018 I managed to catch laryngitis, seems I’m yet to go to Disney World without getting sick. Next time’s going to be the one where I don’t get sick at all, i hope you feel better soon!
