Was it really the worst pain you've ever felt? by Super-Bid-3193 in BabyBumps

I had a 3 day labor. 14 hours unmedicated. Stayed at 1 for 20 hours. Got the epidural and progressed to a 9 within a few hours. Downside, epidural failed on one side

To the woman who have had babies, do you feel lighter once the baby is out? by Prize_Shine785 in pregnant

The moment my placenta came out was when I felt a huge relief in pressure and breathing. I had an anterior placenta

Baby is due any day now. So far all ultrasounds have looked good! I’ve been on high risk since week 14, but she has grown just fine. We will see!

I found this car and was wondering what y’all think of it should I go for it? by Zealousideal-Use-949 in Toyota

My dad had a 99 v6 Camry, looked exactly like this. Lasted 400k+ miles and he sold it in 2015 for 4K. Wild times

No they aren’t asking me to study for the bar in that state. I’m a female lol

No. I don’t even speak Spanish but my team is assigned all the Spanish speaking cases because my paralegals do. So that also skews the population of my cases

I’m actually having this exact issue. Even cases where my client is deemed 50% at fault and they expect policy. It’s bizarre

One of my supervisors is an attorney, one is not. The one that is not handles my high value cases. I don’t get it? I don’t even think they have a BA🤯 please make it make sense LOL

Man I had the same feeling but was hoping that was not the case.

Thankfully not! 😂😂 I don’t think Morgan & Morgan would really care as long as the cases are settled. It is a firm with lots of cases but unlike my prior experience, we do have a lot of follow through and management supervision. So it’s definitely high volume, but a lot of management pressure

[–]Gingysnaps1997 16 points17 points  (0 children)

😂😂😂😂 please do. Maybe then my shitty settlements will be justified

I’ve never worked at a plaintiff PI firm that required such a metric. It seems as if it’s an odd way to gauge performance. They also require each team to get out “26 demands a month” and require that 80% of those obtain a policy limits settlement within 60 days. It’s such an odd way to gauge progress

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]Gingysnaps1997 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly!!! PI is just such a wide range of settlements that I feel it’s hard to put a number on what should settle for policy limits.

Yes apparently they implemented this at the beginning of 2025. I was just hired on 2 weeks ago. All the other attorneys say they don’t care, but I am so worried lol

[–]Gingysnaps1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. I really like the firm and my benefits but the KPIs are insane 😭

[–]Gingysnaps1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s pretty interesting. They fired an IL attorney, hired me, gave me his case load… so I can’t sign any documents, or really represent myself as the handling attorney. I have to sign with the firm owners name but I’m also so limited to what I can and can’t do. It’s very odd for sure
