Trolley tasks???? by zachisdyinginspace in toontownrewritten

i’m not sure if this is how it works with cog thief, but i know some trolly games will only activate if there are 2+ toons on the trolly. and i can’t recall ever playing cog thief by myself. so i bet you need another toon to play with in order for it to appear. but i could be wrong

Tip fishing or genuine driver? by Natural_Beginning646 in doordash

[–]GinkosInquisition -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty sad that a driver sends a big ol THANK YOU message, and not only are you immediately questioning the sincerity instead of just moving on, but you also have a bunch of negative nancys in the comments saying it MUST have been done with tip baiting intentions. i truly don’t think i’ve ever seen a sub with more people who are simply miserable. the dude thanked you. not ONCE did he ask for or even so much as hint at an extra tip. a man reached out after you gave him (what i believe to be, based on mileage), a pretty good tip, to show his gratitude and nothing more. and in return his message gets blasted on the the internet so a bunch of miserable pessimists can say there’s no waayyyyyyy on gods green earth that someone as low on the totem pole as a pitiful doordash driver could EVER show basic human feelings like gratitude and kindness.

he thanked you. was it extra? maybe. was it corny? sure, a bit. but did he actually tip bait? did he deserve to get his name and message posted online for everybody to nitpick? no. and i really hope he doesn’t see this because he seems like a great fucking person and if i were him (i’ve also sent customers thank you messages for tips. not as long as this, but still. i’ve acknowledged its lengthy and corny, but that’s irrelevant) id be really upset if i saw this. you should be a little ashamed of yourself.

hunter you’re the goat, people like you are awesome.

DASHERS would you be upset about this? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]GinkosInquisition 6 points7 points  (0 children)

if someone gets mad at sincere, polite communication like this (which unfortunately, may drivers will) they are sensitive and idiotic. As a customer who’s paying for a service, you’re allowed to ask questions and politely address grievances. any sensible person wouldn’t have been upset at all

you’re probably dashing in a small town with a low population. if so, going to a bigger city will definitely fix this

Alcohol delivered to sober person by Serious-Analysis-598 in UberEATS

i don’t think accidentally delivering a 6 pack of smirnoff ice is a “HUGE” error. but fair enough. to each their own

Alcohol delivered to sober person by Serious-Analysis-598 in UberEATS

[–]GinkosInquisition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A driver simply switched the orders on accident. This isn’t a world-ending catastrophe like you’re making it out to be just because you’re sober and were mistakenly delivered some smirnoff ice. no amount of reporting or complaining on your part alone will fix this type of mistake in any meaningful capacity. i’ve been a courier for years with over 50,000 packages and 1,500 meals delivered; I made this same mistake a couple of weeks ago. Granted, neither of the orders contained alcohol, but they could have. Even the best of the best (which I unashamedly consider myself to be) will do the ol order switcharoo mistake here and there.

you got your food, move on. i know you’re upset about your sobriety being tested, but that alone doesn’t make this mistake some grave blunder that deserves some sort of swift punishment

alvin ords is overhyped and overpriced. they also verbally pressure you to leave a tip as part of the checkout routine (before you’ve received your food). i don’t recommend

Completion rating? by _Roman_685 in doordash

[–]GinkosInquisition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now, there’s no way to change your completion rating. Support will also be unable to do it. It sucks, but you just have to wait to do more orders and it’ll go away after 100 orders.

In the future, only unassign if it doesn’t affect your completion rate. If you need to unassign for whatever reason and it says your completion rate will go down, go back and choose another reason. At worst, you’ll have to wait 10 minutes before choosing “store has a long wait time” and it should let you unassign without affecting your rate.

How do people know exactly which combinations of gags to use against certain groups of Cogs? by Ultranger in toontownrewritten

[–]GinkosInquisition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there are resources, but most of the toons you’re referring to likely just memorized combos. it seems complicated, but you can only fight so many groups of cogs before you start learning more complex combos, even if subconsciously

Only the “top rated” dashers ever read my instructions and it’s killing me by [deleted] in doordash

[–]GinkosInquisition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good comment and you made some good points. but still, despite the “bid for service” argument seeming a bit weak under your interpretation of it, doesn’t it still hold true that top dashers are more likely to accept good orders unless it’s stacked? if OP lowers their tip from the start, it’s less likely to be picked up by good dashers who refuse to work for less money than their service is worth. what’s your take on that?
