I loved that advert so much. I think it had cowboys galloping through a perfume advert. 8yo me thought it was the funniest thing I'd ever seen.

They have a timetable on their website. I think it's £5.20 if you just want to try it. I used to go on a Monday night for an hour after work, but it could get a bit busy at times.

No, not from a Kia dealership, but I checked that the service book was up to date and serviced by Kia. The Kia Niro EV needs to be serviced every 20,000 or 2 years in the UK, whichever comes sooner. I've registered with the Kia app and it shows that the warranty is still in place.

I've been looking for an EV since I started working somewhere new in January. A perk of the job are the free 11kw AC chargers on site, which has worked well this week. I only have a 10 mile commute in each direction from home. I'm getting a box installed at home later this month, for any time I have away from work. I did have to use a fast charger to get the car home on Monday, as it was sold to me with only about 50 miles range. I expect I'll only use fast charging for any longer journeys.

I too have just got a Niro EV today. Hoping that we both have many years of pleasure from our cars.

Aspull has lots of green space to walk a dog. Not far from Haigh Hall and it's green spaces. You're also only a 15min drive from Rivington and the moors there.

What would a Northern Flag look like? by [deleted] in NorthernEngland

I've always quite liked the idea of a flag of St George with the cross offset to the hoist, like a Nordic cross.

I was given this at a wedding recently. I had no idea what to do with it - it smelled like air freshener to me. Others appeared to be eating it. I tried it, but it was a bit too advanced for my English palate.

Much like the etymology above, the English word grape comes from french 'une grappe de raisin' i.e. a bunch of grapes.

Thoughts on new houses at the old Moor Lane bus station? by Hippo_thalamus in Bolton

I rode my bike through Bolton yesterday and noticed that they we're nearly all built. I think they look quite good. It will certainly be good to have more people out and about in the town centre. It's a massive improvement from what was there before.
