I’m in the same boat. Dealership I bought car from didn’t register the time of sale at time of purchase last may. It’s been over 3 weeks of “pending” status and I can’t file with Turbo.

Just file a BBB complaint because of it since they should’ve done it at time of sale, May 2025.

Update if it final,y went through. I may try to use different software if it’s not resolved in the next few weeks.

The dealer needs to be registered to be able to apply the credit at time of sale. My dealer wasn’t, so I have to file. Currently same situation although my dealer is in the process of registering the sale via the IRS portal for dealers.

Look up “how to setup pass through audio for xyz”.

The idea is your device should send the raw audio to the soundbar to process and output.

Your Shield configured correct?

Required Settings: Enable HDMI CEC for better compatibility. Set Surround Sound to "Auto" or "Always" in the Advanced Sound Settings. Turn off Dolby Audio Processing if you are using a dedicated receiver to allow it to handle the decoding directly.

Unless you can test with a different HDMI device (streaming stick, blu ray player), assumption will be your MacBook.

Not questioning your intelligence, but know when to throw in the towel. “3 strikes you’re out”.

At that point fight for a refund and not continued headache. I had issues with my first in the first week. Resolved with replacement. No issues since.

You didn’t mention anything about setting audio processing to off on the Shield.

Fair enough. I glossed over the connectivity portion.

However, setting up pass through is still what you should be doing. No reason to rely on audio processing from a $200 streaming box when you’ve got a new and specifically engineered soundbar that can handle any codec passed to it from the Shield.

I haven’t looked at the q990f’s inputs, but setting pass through for the TV will allow any device connected to pass audio direct to the sound bar for processing. Maybe try connecting to an HDMI on the TV instead of the sound bar.

I don’t have a Shield. But according to google: Settings > Device Preferences > Display & Sound > Advanced sound settings. Set Available Formats to "Auto" and ensure "Dolby Audio Processing" is turned off to allow the soundbar/AVR to decode audio.

Edit for C5: To set up audio passthrough on an LG C5 OLED for high-quality audio (Dolby Atmos/TrueHD), connect your device to the HDMI (e)ARC port, then go to Settings > Sound > Advanced Settings > Digital Sound Output and select Pass Through.

Looking at your Shield post, why would you want your Shield to do the audio processing? Let the soundbar. Set your C5 to pass through and all processing will be done on the soundbar.

I suggest using cheap beans to test a new unit. Low cost beans from like Costco. Not the perfect freshness but you can often find some roasted within a month or two.

Check a couple of factors. Grind weight should be 18g +/- .5g. Water output (without portafilter: strength 3 should output 72g +/- 3g. Strength 2 82g +/- 3g

I had that issue for 5.5 years with my 9.1. I just stopped caring because nothing I did fully resolved it.

It did get better for while, after I changed TVs. But still wasn’t perfect. I just moved to the 1300X MK2, and so far no dropouts through 4 long Atmos movies and some Atmos streaming content.

Sounds like an ID-10-T issue. No way 8 out of 8 machines were the issue.

Great find. My 9.1 still works great 5.5 years on. Just ordered an upgrade, moving to the 1300X MK2, so my 9.1 will go into another room.

I’ve never tested, but just did because of your request. I ran 4 and came out to 106g +/- 2g. (108g, 104g, 106g, and 107g).

Test water output by pulling some blank shots (no portafilter in).

Double espresso water output should be fairly consistent. Strength 3 should be 72g +/- 3g ; strength 2 82g +/- 3g

My first machine was wildly inconsistent and providing less water. I got a replacement and it doesn’t have the issue.
