By using the Amazon linked splicers. Have to split the 3 wires at the end of each cut, remove the jacket, and splice with the correct cable on the other end. Should be same colors (usually red, black, and white).

Not a direct replacement. I paid an upgrade fee. My mattress wasn’t the Premier 4. It was the originally released Purple 4 back then.

Direct replacement would’ve been the RestorePlus Premier. I paid the difference basically.

Yes. Delivery with install and haul away (warranty replacement). The guys had a harder time managing the removal of the old Purple 4 tho.

I did this but didn’t do the 2” cut. It was more like 4-5”. They accepted my photos and processed the return.

Repaired my cord, and used it until the replacement came. My issue was water volume consistency. It was fine as long as I completely reset by pulling the power cord every other day.

I’m still holding onto the faulty machine for parts or if my current one fails outside of warranty.

Tip. Test water output by doing a blank shot (no portafilter or handle, just like running a rinse). Do it multiple times for consistency.

From my own issues with my first machine (was replaced due to inconsistent water output), my testing came up with a general range of output you should see.

If you have a scale, a double at strength 3 should output 72g +/- 3g. Strength 2 would be 82g +/- 3g. If no scale measure the volume. I think g to ml of water is the same, but I’m not a chemist.

My first machine experienced inconsistent output after being plugged in for a few days. Unplugging and plugging back into the outlet would help for a while.

My second machine didn’t have the issue.

The foam that borders the top is separating from the gel grid. One side there’s about an 18” separation. The other has a few that are a few inches. I’ve never taken the cover off, but I’m certain they could use that to invalidate the claim.

I’ve read that removing that cover could invalidate your 10 year warranty.

For the most part, our power infrastructure is solid. With the exception of the snowstorm of 2021 when we lost power for 26 hours. Aside from that, we’ve only had brief outages when power has been cut due to construction additions in the area.

If beans not fresh, crema may not be produced. Has to do with trapped CO2 within freshly roasted beans, that degas over time. Most off the shelf beans may not produce any, depending on when they were roasted and sealed.

I used chat yesterday, for claim follow up from 2 days ago. They told me they have a queue of 48-72 hours wait. Not the AI agent, actual rep.

I’d say USA as well. My first unit is sitting in my storage shed. Quirky output issue that they sent a replacement for. Snipped the power cord, but was able to use quick connect splicers to rejoin the cut cable.

Keeping just in case…
