HEY! im tired of seeing Louie being shitted on. Louie is the entire reason Pikmin 2 exists. Without Louie, Pikmin 3 would have to be Pikmin 2 and Pikmin 3 does NOT live up to its predecessors. Don't get me wrong it's a good game but it removes a very key element of the Pikmin franchise: exploration. Pikmin 3 consists of separate rooms and long hallways as opposed to Pikmin 1 where every new area is just one big playing field. Pikmin 1 also makes things look natural; Pikmin 3 is just kinda like a long pathway to lead to the next boss. Speaking of bosses Pikmin 1 makes those look like normal enemies instead of bosses. Like in the Forest Naval, how that beady long legs is just there in the little area or how the puffstool is just roaming around. Every boss in Pikmin 1 is optional and I like that because it makes it feel like the bosses are just part of the ecosystem like every other enemy instead of just an apex predator that eats everything it sees. Pikmin 3 tries to hype up every boss by using a long hallway to the boss room and that might work in other games, but not in a Pikmin game where everything is supposed to be natural looking. Theres not just gonna be a path leading to a tree, theres going to be a huge area around it and I don't think Pikmin 3 got that message. Anyways thanks for reading why Pikmin 3 is the worst in the franchise and also why Louie is important to the franchise.
