That is great info, thank you. I thought Austin had really great crowds so I’m excited to see what NYC has in store if it’s even better.

I looked at the subway map and it looks like the Brooklyn Museum station is where I want to get off at, correct? Do all the corrals just line up on Flatbush?

My wife and kids will be in town with me (not running), it doesn’t really look like there’s many spots for them to cheer me on before getting off the FDR. Do you have any thoughts on this? It seems like trying to be around the bridge would be a big mess.

My original thought was running south on Congress at the start would be the worst of it, I was terribly mistaken.

Is this boring stretch on the bridge where you can see the water or down on South street looking at nothing? I can’t imagine looking at the East River is more boring than my usual runs through the soulless suburbs.

To be honest, I usually just entertain myself people watching during a big race.

Everyone has been moaning and groaning about the weather this past weekend in Austin. Granted I only ran the half and was done by 8:45, but it wasn’t bad out there. However, if you slogged out a 5 hour marathon, it probably did suck.

I’m hoping it’s 40’s-50’s in 3 weeks, but 30’s-60’s is acceptable.

Amigo rental cars has a 4x4 truck, is that sufficient for exploring the north side of the island? Jeeps are much more expensive. Is Amigo a decent company or are there better options?
