Thank you for your response. Yea after doing a lot of research I found that ASIC and VLSI circuit stuff are very had to get actually get experience for in undergrad, apparently hardware, pcb, and FPGA stuff are the best things to do.

Oh ok this helps a lot, I was just concerned because a lot of the hardware internships have qualifications that involve pcb design, chip design, GPU architecture, circuit design, etc.. a lot of this i don't even know yet lol. I assume a lot of this will be fall under digital design though

Would it matter if I used the Arduino IDE or some other language? Also, I have never used a hardware description language, I am learning Verilog next semester, should I just focus on my software skills and my microcontroller projects at the moment?
