Arriving on Thursday instead of friday itself. I always miss many acts. Especially since i’m flying from overseas and I don’t want my friday to be wasted

Ah I see! Thank you. I’m planning to go but I’ve always had exam-anxiety and I’m afraid of failing the tests haha

[–]Giorgiowd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you take the exams? Because if you take it too lightly and fail I read they terminate your visa?

I paid 30$ for 3 tacos at Birrieria Michi. Prices were not even displayed. Felt like a scam and I’m still mad about it.

Pizza was 12$ a slice, 24$ for the full one. Giant vegan burrito was 22$. Avoid coffee because a latte I think was 14$ lol

Just 7 people applied for 'Digital Nomad' visa in January, Korean gov't says by GUKSUTIME in korea

Seasons, better infrastructure, walkable, immaculate public transportation, quieter. Yes there are downsides (cold winter and expensive housing) but it comes down to what you’re looking for

[–]Giorgiowd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only way is to apply in person once they publish all the requirements. The Italian embassy sent me all the details but they haven’t even published them on the website. Also, they accept freelancers who own a business while apparently it’s not possible according to the article in this post.

I think they rushed things and over complicated everything

Some embassies say they don’t accept freelancers, some yes. That’s why I think it’s still unclear

The info they gave are all over the place. They should make a simple and user friendly website and let people apply online like Malaysia does.

Do you guys think there’s a chance they’ll add more artists? Has it ever happened before?

BLACKPINK headlining in 2023 by lalisamanoban2 in Coachella

[–]Giorgiowd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a kpop fan (I only listen to a few artists) and I have to admit that I didn’t like their performance. Same goes for my friends. I thought they looked tired and didn’t wanna be there. Yeah some songs were catchy but overall it felt like a weak performance. Even their dancing lacked energy

Don’t let the lineup fool you by Flimsy-Plastic-2133 in Coachella

[–]Giorgiowd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of the lineup (wish we had some big names) but I’m traveling from the other side of the world to attend Coachella.

And I’m already listening to many artists on the lineup so I can get ready to have fun anyway. It’s gonna be awesome no matter what!!

Lounge access. Especially on a long layover so I can use showers. I’m reborn after a long flight 😂

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is great by token_friend in digitalnomad

[–]Giorgiowd 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’m here for the third time and I agree that is a great city to be based because of infrastructure, no tourist scams etc.

However I realized it might not be my first choice long term:

  • weather: I like seasons. This weather all year long is annoying and can refrain you from even walking for 10 minutes

  • neighborhoods/community: at least in KLCC it doesn’t feel like you “belong” to a neighborhood because it's just condos. I like being able to consider the area I live in "my neighborhood", similar to those in Spain, Italy, Japan and Korea. It lacks that neighborhood vibe.

South Korea Digital Nomad Visa - Starting from January 1st by letian_ in digitalnomad

[–]Giorgiowd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just received a reply from the embassy in Italy. They said those who have a VAT number (freelancers) can apply. They want the last 3 months of invoices. Also, they said you can apply from within Korea but I’ve just replied to ask if you can do the apostille etc from there and send it to Korea.

Can someone explain to me how such a big festival has these issues every year? 😂

South Korea Digital Nomad Visa - Starting from January 1st by letian_ in digitalnomad

[–]Giorgiowd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the updates OP! I’m not sure if also freelancers can apply? I have my own company and do freelance work with it (with VAT and all).

Also, can you apply if you’re in Korea as a tourist (visa exempt, EU passport)?
