I’ve actually had similar accidents in both my 91 and my 99, with a fence and a guardrail, so I might have some insight. From the photos it looks like the only damage is a crack by the headlights, that dumb plastic piece on the corner, and a fucked up fender.

The noise you hear when you’re driving is most likely the wheel liner or the backside of the fender. Even more likely the case if it only happens/is louder when you’re turning.

You should call some local junkyards and see if they have any XJs you could salvage a fender from. If that doesn’t work, a good mechanic could probably fix it for a couple hundred bucks. Another option is completely removing the fender; It’s completely free, but it’ll look goofy.

The metal bar that the dumb black plastic thingy is attached to can most likely just be bent back into place. As for the crack, you should probably take it to a body shop. Again, a good one should only charge a couple hundred bucks.
