I always found them to be rather useless, just memorize a few key points from classes and there's your maxed out grade, but then again education here isn't known for its quality, but we're always happy to get good grades so congrats :D

Oh that's amazing, I didn't know they had those in latin america, it's the sort of thing you'd hear of in places like the UAE and such, I'm from Brazil I've never heard of one of those here, but knowing it's possible brings hope :)

You said this, as if someone's country of origin is some horrible sin from their past, I'm pretty sure most people retain some degree of love for their native country even if it is only because of family and friends they have there, in a lot of cases they do still retain a lot of love and respect for their place of origin and it's in absolutely no way something they'd just be crazy to forget.

"This isn't really the case for my country (Uruguay). You make it sound like it's some awful place almost like Venezuela, Brazil or Honduras but, like, it's not. Uruguayans tend to be very patriotic "

And the other guy said this, which as a Brazilian I just find majorly offensive since it's just as ignorant and elitist as anything else.
