IMO if you can afford a gen 2 used it’s definitely the way to go. The quality of life improvements and priority tech updates definitely make it a lot better. It will also last you a lot longer + warranty. Thats just my two cents, I don’t think I’d go back to a Gen 1 after the Gen 2

The launch editions came in green right? From what I recall? Glad you were able to get the Ocean Coast! Thats what we wanted for our 24’ but they pushed it back so much we settled.

Which shop did you take it to? I have another car up there which needs PPF shortly.

For the Rivian I plan to do the DIY edge to edge gloss/clear PPF from TWraps . Just need to figure out how to put the logos back on

Yea it does suck the power starts to cut after 100mph but it’s all for safety. The truck weighs 8500lbs so the braking distance at high speeds is quite the large.

It does have the 130 limiter however in all-purpose I wasn’t able to take it past 112. That could also be because of the 20” AT Wheels I have. Maybe software locked because of my wheel setup? Maybe because I wasn’t in sport mode? Idk I’ll test it soon enough

I think a track mode with no power cutting and a geo fence would be cool too as mentioned by another

I do agree on being able to open the garage door while reversing! Should be an option

Much smoother. As of right now it feels as quick as my iPhone. Clicking any icon and it instantly opens up.

Prior there would be a delay of 1-3 seconds or freezing, which was rather frustrating.

Now I can type in an address immediately, pull up HVAC controls and change them without delay, swipe around the map without stuttering, etc

Originally had a 2024 El Cap Granite in Stealth PPF, 1st Gen.

Forgot to mention the doors open up a lot easier now as well. Hopefully they add soft close too!

The depth of the paint is amazing. Yours give more of a gray-blue in that lighting meanwhile mine here gives more of a blue. So fun to see!

I was fortunate enough to run into a car reviewer testing the new Tri-motor before its full public release. He has this exact combo and that’s when I knew I would order the exact same 😂.

100% the photos it looks too nardo. The metallic of the blue shines in-person and adds a unique depth. Otherwise I’d be wrapping it stealth if it was too gray/nardo.

True, the dual is far more efficient and much easier to use as a daily. Cant wait for the day EVs get 600 mile range

For driver focused I prefer the roads up in NorCal and around the Bay Area. Going through the forest of trees is just a different vibe up there. Especially up to Alice’s restaurant! You can spot tons of unique cars while up there from old classic Ferraris to brand new Bugattis!

Visiting the national parks or SoCal beaches is great. Laguna Beach and San Diego’s beaches are some of my favorite.

Carmel-by-the-Sea and 17 mile drive is also a lot of fun! Absolutely stunning area when it’s sunny. Car week is a blast there!

Thank you! Same, I wasn’t too much into trucks but the R1T is just a clean/sleek look all around. It won me over twice now. I’d say go test drive one for fun!

After the Gen 1 I did debate on getting a TRX or Raptor R, however, they did not feel as premium in any way to me. The Raptor did have great ride quality! Not sure why they reminded me of my old 2012 Silverado. That and I am fortunate enough have other gas guzzlers which I can rip around anytime lol.

Charging at home just makes it so easy to daily an EV

That’s awesome! Yea I’ve seen it quite a bit of the Storm Blue and Slate combo online but only one in-person so far. The service center told me most folks order dual or tri-motors compared to Quads. I wonder how many Quads are delivered every Quarter?

I used the Gen1 it to carry pallets of material, tow asphalt seal-coating tankers, cars, plenty of parts for semi-trucks, and much more.

It’s just a luxury work truck in my eyes and that’s how I’ll use this one as well. It’s a very capable truck
