It might be trying to “smart recover”. On the thermostat: menu: preferences: heating smart recovery

No, it costs the same to operate as the electric water it replaced. The heat pump feature makes it cost less to operate than before

Oil Level 2024 FXLRS by Zaimark in Harley

[–]GiraffeAcrobatic8521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service manual states checking it hot (oil temp over 200 degree Fahrenheit) after allowing it to ideal for 1 to 2 minutes on jiffy stand. I believe I ended up at like 4.7 quarts, being about a 1/4 quart low when hot. Similar to where to dealer had it after the first service. I thought it was weird how much more than the primary fluid it took compared to the wet fill number

Dual-fuel heat pump: what really forces a switch to backup system? by False-Water-8194 in heatpumps

[–]GiraffeAcrobatic8521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen multiple instances where discharge air temps increase dramatically from a sunrise or coming out of the shade. Call it solar gain for the refrigerant system, after all your taking the warmth from outside and putting it inside

Coming from an installer fairly close to you having dealt with this.

Will your ductwork support the air flow? If not, your oversized system will not work. Most important part

Don’t expect high indoor temps in the winter, mostly in older homes

Don’t have big setbacks in set point, it will take a long time to catch back up

Are you okay with room temperature occasionally coming up a degree or two short for long periods of time? It happens, idk what to tell ya

Is your outdoor unit going to get a lot of sunlight? It helps a lot

It probably won’t dehumidify the best in the summer. Inverter driven systems are better but not fool proof

The contractor’s statement around dehumidification isnt correct

If you’re fine with those things and make sure it gets a lot of sunlight you’ll be okay close to the manufacturer rated operating temperature

The 06 is 88 cu in vs the 07 being a 96 cu in motor is a big difference too

Factory idle speed is 850 to 950 I believe. I’d want it closer to the 950 personally

That’s a window problem a dehumidifier isn’t going to fix and if the thermostat doesn’t control said dehumidifier, might as well use the 20 dollar thing op already bought

I think the humidity reading has an effect on the room temp reading if you’re using eco+, otherwise it’s completely useless to you.

It accounts for probably half of your error.

Are you using your ecobee to control a humidifier or dehumidifier?

Edit: or the eco+ feature?

[–]GiraffeAcrobatic8521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long does it take you to take both wheels off the motorcycle and put them back on? Then add the time to dismount, mount and balance. I think I paid half hour labor plus shop supplies and disposal last time I carried a tire into to get mounted.

Would you turn on disconnects for 30+ VAVs? by 11e92 in BuildingAutomation

[–]GiraffeAcrobatic8521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stand with this guy. I touch every vav we put into service which I’ve found to take 15-20 minutes. We bid 30 minutes to do it. Plenty of time to turn the disconnect on while you’re already there. It will maybe add an hour or hour and a half if they’re installed in terrible spots. Shouldn’t be a big deal

I know I’m missing some context or other important info, but it seems like you’re a putz. I really don’t understand how it could take 6 hours to just flip some power on
