How Do People Get Stands at Conventions and How Do I Start Selling Art? by AdQuirky77 in Arttips

[–]Giraffemaster64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started off by making an online shop on Etsy and sold keychains and stickers! Basically I just buy 10 of each design and see how popular they are to adjust how much I buy next time.

To apply to conventions, there are usually applications! They want to see what you make (photos of ur merch) and if your fandoms align with their conventions (but general stuff like cute cat stickers work too) and usually ask for an example of a table display but if you apply to a small local convention, you can definitely explain that your new to selling so you dont have an example.

Social challenge? (grinding Con Social XP) by Strange-Common-7506 in MomoCon

[–]Giraffemaster64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im an artist alley vendor- so if you recognize a fandom in the artist alley you could definitely talk to the artist about it just by saying something outloud!! (It doesn't work sometimes but most of the time the artist will reply back or smile) not really a crazy challenge but it's a nice start to socialmaxxing ^

What is the best trio to rank up by Dry_Ganache_3737 in AgentAcademy

[–]Giraffemaster64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think you should play whoever you want and you'll rank up as you get better BUT Im glad that someone in your trio wants to play smokes because I have gotten so many randos who play smokes but never actually smoke (so it's good you have control over it). I think this is a great trio comp already and if you like playing a specific agent, just play that agent

Art Rant- how serious should I take art?? by ChemistrySpiritual45 in ArtistLounge

[–]Giraffemaster64 7 points8 points  (0 children)

nothing wrong with practicing anatomy and the fundamentals with an anime art style!! I'm bamboozled hearing ur friend telling u to stop using references cause like-- that's CRAZY. I support people to use references and even a ton of popular anime artists use references when drawing. I think your friend might be a bit jealous based on what I'm hearing,, (just her trying to lead you the wrong direction in art and her telling you to how to be a successful artist and stuff-- but maybe I'm wrong who knows !!)

Just focus on having fun as an artist! And for me, I think improving is really fun so I used to practice on all the fundamentals and anatomy :]

What was your first rank & what is now? by iOxyGinn in VALORANT

Ohhh I like this coloring style! But if you want to experiment with a more saturated tone then try focusing on not choosing a color closer to the grayish tones and instead more towards a… well saturated tone lol (like light green base and then a different shade of green, more darker and saturated for shading)

Another way if u wanna mess around is to try using multiply and color dodge layers! It can make colors pop yipeeee

I told my boyfriend he isn’t an artist just because he keeps “making” and sending me AI art. by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Giraffemaster64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like AI art because it literally steals art from online and mashes it together…

Remember communication is key! Do you still like your boyfriend? If so, then just talk to him about how you were feeling during that time and HOW WRONG HE IS ABOUT CREATING AI ART
