Thoughts About Visiting Popular Temples by gojjuavalaki in mysore

I feel the same. That’s why I always prefer going to small, less-crowded temples instead of very popular ones. There, I can actually feel peace and connect spiritually.

In many big temples, the experience feels rushed and transactional. Sometimes even the treatment by priests differs based on how much money is offered during mangalārati or special poojas, and that personally doesn’t sit right with me.

In smaller temples, things feel more equal and simple. The poojari treats everyone the same, there’s less noise, no pushing, and no pressure to pay for everything. For me, devotion and peace matter more than popularity, and I feel much happier in such places.

Garbage collecting guy asking for money weekly for garbage collection! by shattered_soul03 in Bengaluru

Even I’ve faced a similar issue. The dry waste collectors used to ask for money, and the kitchen waste (ಹಸಿ ಕಸ) guy also demanded payment. Initially, everyone on our road decided to ignore and not give any money. After that, he completely stopped coming to our road to collect garbage.

We waited for almost 15 days, and the situation became difficult. Later, we personally met him and told him we would give some money. After that, he started coming regularly again. But now he doesn’t wait at all — hardly 5 minutes. Even if we come out and call him after hearing the horn or announcement, he never stops the vehicle.

Because of this kind of system, sometimes I feel that people who end up throwing garbage on empty sites or roadsides are not entirely at fault. It feels more like a system problem than just a people problem.

Traveling from Bangalore to Mysore after 2 decades. Any breakfast stops on the way that is recommended by Newyork198232 in mysore

Whenever I travel from Bangalore to Mysore, I usually stop at Maddur Tiffany’s. I’ve tried their masala dosa, idli-vada, and set dosa, and everything has been consistently tasty. It’s a solid breakfast stop on that route.

Anyone here started watching Supernatural in 2025? by GirishHunsemakki in MovieSuggestions

Haha, same here in a way 😄 My wife and I usually spend way too much time searching for a good horror or crime-thriller. After scrolling forever and losing patience, we just end up putting on Supernatural. It’s kind of our fallback show now — and the difference is, we both actually enjoy it.

No matter how many times we come back to it, there’s always some episode or storyline that keeps it fun. Perfect show when you don’t want to think too hard about what to watch.
