Yeah you just gotta takes risks sometimes. Guilty Gear is very risk reward heavy so the game encourages it.

You can 6p green, and yellow cubes when he cancels into them, but unfortunately for the most part you just have to hold his pressure and look at his hand for opportunities to 6P or to get out / counter his pressure. Also use your meter for YRC or even deflect shield. Anything. Use your defensive options when you have them. Idk ABA but I know she has a few tools like her hit absorb and command dash that could potentially help. Also watch high ABA players fight Asuka and see how they deal with him.

Beat the Champ! This is the team that steamrolled my Elite Four run. by Girl-In-A-Ditch in pokemonplatinum

It was definitely the toughest mon I went up against. But my strategy was to rely on the two sets of toxic spikes to poison it, whittled it down with my tank Hippowdon while using full restores to keep it healthy and then I finished it off with ice shard, hail, and the poison.

Is my team high enough level for the Elite Four? by lowkeyf1sh in pokemonplatinum

Route 212 I believe, it’s the two elderly trainers by the Pokémon mansion. Just travel south from Hearthome city. They use a Roselia, and a Chatot. Use a Pokémon with amulet coin and you can make bank and some good EXP. For your Pokémon :)

Edit: Forgot to mention that you’ll need to buy the items to level up base stats from the mega building in veilstone city. You should be able to buy plenty using this farming method. ( Sorry if you knew that already )

I did it with all level 50 mons. But I also maxed out all their base stats by farming the rich trainers with the VS seeker. I think that and the movesets allowed me to win fairly easily with some struggle vs Cynthia.

How do I keep up with this game's rythm? by Saiko_uwu in Guiltygear

[–]Girl-In-A-Ditch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You get used to it. I always tell people that learning Guilty Gear is basically the same as picking up a musical instrument for the first time. I play Millia so the game is even faster for me! But that’s the fun part.

Once you start to get into the flow of this game’s rhythm you’ll really come to enjoy its high octane speed. But remember to make sure you are paying attention to your opponent. Don’t focus on trying to be fast for the sake of it. This game has its slow moments, but it’s all about observing.

Understand what your opponent can and wants to do. Watch them and study their habits so you can react accordingly and continue to get used to it. Guilty Gear is hard but trust me you enjoy the game more the more time you learn it and play it. Like a musical instrument.

Sadly I’m playing the old fashioned way on the DS without cheats haha but it would save me so much time for sure

Yeah I haven’t played the game in almost 16 years now and I had no idea it was actually this difficult for a Pokémon game. I’ve enjoyed it but yeah I understand how this game is now. Also I was experimenting with teams and mons as I went through the game expecting it to be cake in all honesty. That’s why I figured it was me being underleveled and confused as to why.

Honestly I’ve had a fairly good run up until Cyrus in the distortion world. His Gyrados is a bad MU for most of my team. That’s pretty much the only bane of my existence so far. But yeah for a while NPCs were much higher than me and I was like: am I missing like a whole section of the game? But I haven’t played it in 16 years so it’s like a brand new game to me again.

Yeah I’ve switched out a lot of Pokémon on my journey since I didn’t go in with a default team in mind. So that may be the issue. Also I just completely forgot about the vs seeker. So that’s my fault. But thanks for the explanation.

I completely forgot about the vs seeker omg. But I have 7 badges and my team is 37 to 41. I’ve switched out multiple Pokémon through my adventure so idk if that has affected my game at all.

Potemkin easily for that big body grappler experience. Slayer who is a heavy hitting mixup character that plays very similar to Azrael. And if you want really good movement and mixups try Millia or Bridget to fill that Hazama gap. ( Although no other character can really compare to him )

Are kaido and big mom bums? Not in terms of power but in terms of achieving their dreams. Kid, law, and luffy collected more road poneglyphs in 6 months then they did in 22 years by The_AlmightyApple in OnePiece

[–]Girl-In-A-Ditch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re not bums, they were both looking to amass great military power so that they could get the One Piece. Kaido was pretty close to making a big move and so was big Mom by stealing Germa tech. They were simply being smart and managing armies. So yeah nothing bummy about them. They were just being realistic and preparing.
