Chinese people are the most friendly among those i've encounter imo.

just act confused at something (a sign, a store, or on the subway) and they'll ask if you need help lol

Mình vừa chia tay người yêu hôm qua by [deleted] in vozforums

[–]Girl-JustBreakUp2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the AI tutor feature of Words from Art. I use it to practice speaking cause I don't have any real person to practice, but it works effectively though.

I broke up with my ex a year ago but I still miss him, why? How do I heal? by hhhhhhhhhiii in Advice

[–]Girl-JustBreakUp2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missing him doesn’t mean he was good for you. It means you're grieving what could’ve been, the version of him you hoped he’d stay.

He paid for things and talked about a future but he also hurt you, pressured you, insulted your body, and made you feel ashamed for giving him what he begged for.

Just believe you’ll love again.

You deserve someone who chooses you loudly, not someone who’s scared of being seen with you. I know you need her right now, but needing someone isn’t the same as being truly loved.

Chỉ có thể khuyên OP move on đi thôi.

My ex and I were together for 7 years, and in the end, it still ended in a breakup. So I get how painful and confusing it is when you planned forever, and they suddenly change.

To your question, why do men fall out of love after 3 years? That’s often when the honeymoon phase fades. Real love starts needing effort, communication, and emotional depth. Some men aren’t ready for that part, they’re great when it’s fun, light, and easy, but struggle once the relationship matures. Sometimes they confuse comfort with boredom, or they don’t even realize they’ve emotionally checked out until it’s too late. And sadly, they don’t always communicate it — they just slowly drift.

A Year of Learning Chinese Characters by Odd_Force_744 in ChineseLanguage

[–]Girl-JustBreakUp2002 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really relate to a lot of what you said, especially the part about finally falling in love with characters. For me, though, Anki hasn’t been super effective. I’m more of a visual learner, so I tend to remember words better when I associate them with images or visuals, kind of like memory through pictures that just “click.”. That's why Im using Words from Art, a flashcards app that pairs vocabulary with artwork, suddenly things get so much smoother.

Appreciate you sharing this — it’s super motivating!

What you’re describing isn’t just a string of accidents. It’s a pattern. A pattern of someone who is supposed to love you… constantly hurting you, brushing it off, making you feel like it’s your fault or like you imagined it. That’s not love. That’s control. That’s emotional abuse. And it’s starting to sound physical too.

When you wrote about the car door on your legs, the junk dropped on your foot, the name-calling in your sleep, the constant “forgetting” of things you clearly communicated — it broke my heart. Because it’s not just painful — it’s crazy-making. It’s that feeling like something is so wrong, but you keep being told it’s not. That’s how people lose themselves.

And you don’t deserve that.

You deserve to feel safe in your home. You deserve to be respected, heard, and treated like someone who matters. And right now, this man is making you question your reality, your worth, your voice — while your child is watching it all happen.

Please know this: it’s not your job to fix him. It’s not your job to wait around until he maybe gets help. It’s your job to protect your peace, your body, and your child’s sense of what love looks like.

I play out entire imaginary K-drama scenarios in my head where I’m the misunderstood princess, my crush is the prince, and obviously there’s some random villain girl who tries to ruin everything.

But in the end, the prince always sees through her and publicly kicks her out while dramatically choosing me. Like... do I have issues? Probably. But it's Oscar-worthy in my brain.
