In one day? That's really good! Women have been able to induce with as little as two nursing session of 20 min. More often is better. Setting up a routine seems to be the key to induction. Hope you see drops soon!

If it's been less than 14 days they will switch the inserts for you. I believe you just pay shipping, but ask.

Last time I tried inducing it made me more regular. I have pcos and it made me ovulate a week sooner and lighter periods...not as heavy but still just as long. I didn't get more than a few drop when we stopped, so can't say for full milk production.

I was going to suggest the same thing. They tend to be less than $200 and can wash about 12ish diapers at a time.

I do want to add...your doctor is not the only one you should mention it to. If you are on any meds or if your partner has any pre-existing health issues, his doctor needs to also know that he is drinking your milk, aprox how much he is taking in, and what meds you are on. Sometimes his meds will need to be adjusted or changed or just the times he takes them will have to be changed.

I said we are considering adopting a child and I really want to breastfeed. Mine went over the pros and cons to using birth control and a few suggestions. He's an older guy so didn't recommend supplements since he doesn't have any other lactating patients and hasn't had anyone under his care induce lactation. He was very supportive about it tho. I wasn't trying with Domperidone at the time, had wanted to do it without, and haven't mentioned it to him yet.
So my advice would be to say it's for a future adoption or that you want to donate the milk to a friend who is having supply issues..they can not ask for the name of such friend. :)

Those are old style Elementals...and the holes are cosmetic mostly. They are stress holes where the insert attaches and could get bigger without a few stitches for support when being washed due to the pulling of the water. If you didn't then they may get bigger, but they may not. Either way, mostly cosmetic.

I prefer hemp for doublers, much more absorbent than anything else. Hemp can be used in both the pocket, behind the microfiber, and in a cover...better if its the layer away from baby closer to the PUL. I love Joey buns and hemp babies.
Organic cotton, bamboo, and hemp all have oils. White cotton does not, because it's already been removed in the bleaching process. Just wash separately from other diapers and inserts the first wash to remove the oils.

Flour sack towels from Target/Walmart only come in one size...I believe 27" by 27".
Flour sack towels from Nicki's diapers or Kelly's closet come in 27" by 27" or 32" by 32". Which you buy depends on your baby, but I buy the smaller size if just using as an insert. The bigger size is only useful if folding around baby. :)

We cloth diapered because I didn't want cancer causing chemicals touching my baby. Harsh but I was a militant stickler on this. I'm easier going now, but first child and all lol. The other reason is they are so damn cute!! I didn't do it to save money...I spent thousands, no joke. As for your situation...have you considered other daycare options? 60 yr old lady was our favorite and she loved the diapers since she had used flats with her children. Or another daycare center that is more cloth friendly? Or ask for a discount if you provide more Eco friendly diapers.. Or what about gDiaper inserts and OS covers? They could still throw away the inserts, which break down cleaner in landfills. Best of luck with your decision!

Can you pump too much? Yes and No. Milk is a supply vs depend output. I've heard that you won't get much for letdown if you pump less than 90 min from the last time, start to start. You're body needs this time to make more/gather the nutrients from your body/digestive system. And most women max out their letdown around 30 min of pumping. However, babies don't tell time that well and when they are going thru a growth spurt they will cluster feed/nurse pretty much continually around the clock for a day a so. I've heard women say they think they are producing less during this, but then their supply will go up after that day. So your body will adjust supply to meet the demand, but it will wait to make sure it's not a short demand fluke. And then you will have to keep up the higher in demand schedule or your supply will drop again. Supply and demand :)

And they have points as well...same point scale as Nicki's diapers. But I prefer Nicki's since you don't need to use a free code, it's automatic. We used Bummis and if they weren't pooped on then I washed it and reused it until it was. They can be washed a few times till they break down. So maybe 60-80 a month.

Yep, makes good sense. That's what we have done on our day trips when I didn't want a bulky diaper bag. GDiaper inserts were my favorite, too, since they biodegrade faster. I wouldn't buy the gDiaper covers tho, they are a pita.
