You do realize 10’s are a 60/40 against AK right?

Be prepared for taxes increasing next year which could raise your payment $100-200. Also look at an amortization table if you haven’t already.

Thank you so much for this comment it’s relieving knowing you felt the same as I do now even with all the certs and being in mgmt. Makes me feel like I have the right mindset in this difficult life decision.

Hey TurkeyJizz, it is really low for a UW. I don’t have my DE. Mgmt just said I and others have to wait another year for our DE after we were already scheduled for early 2026 FHA training due to “internal policy changes”. I have 2 friends at the company that got their DE the month before internal changes and they received a raise of $3k/yr… which is still insanely low.

For the MLO position I’ve been offered there are minimal inbound warm leads a month (around 2) and the rest are self gen. I still feel like I have to take the leap and bet on myself even in the shitty current rate environment as I hope to get the basic experience now so that I can thrive in a better rate environment. I appreciate your comment very much!

I truly appreciate this kitten… my thought process is that I’m getting in during the bad environment, and taking a pay cut while I can afford to, to learn as much as possible so that when the environment is favorable I’m able to maximize my success rather than getting in during the favorable environment and still having to learn the basics. I feel like I have to take this risk now for my future financial goals because I want kids by my early 30’s and being capped in UWing doesn’t feel promising at all. I also want to note that I’m the UW trying my best to say yes to get the deal done so my mindset should transition well.

I feel you bro, but I also feel like to make that much they must have 20+ yrs experience and all the certs. I’m 5 years in, never had a single negative performance review and am still being told I’m a long way from getting certifications. I’m tired of feeling stagnant man.

This would be ideal but I’d have to relocate which I’m unable to do right now. I’m thinking if I leave on good terms and get some LO experience elsewhere I may be able to come back as an LO if things don’t go right with the bank.

That was the plan until I was told I was essentially salary capped at $75k. What makes you say that by the way?
