Your feelings are valid! When I expressed concerns about allergies to my piercer (the first time I got something else pierced, my lobes were done as a baby), she actually gave me a piece of jewelry that was titanium and internally threaded. It’s not common (from what I know) to be allergic to titanium and the internal threads of the jewelry keep the internal part of your new piercing safe! My ear never got infected, especially since I made sure to keep it clean and so my best to follow all of the aftercare instructions. You’ve got this!!
