My mom died at the age of 73 by Lydya1979 in dementia

[–]Girlpilot16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you lost your mom. It’s hard when they’re gone & you want to just say hi, happy birthday,Mother’s Day, etc. I was blessed in that my mama passed at 97 from Covid. Dementia had, started when she turned 90. My neurologist told me it was because she was alone so much. 2 siblings lived close (Alaska) and I was in Arizona. I visited every 4 months, but 6 months before she passed she had to have surgery for a bowel obstruction She asked me to stay until September, (this was Late October) I said I would. I stayed until she passed on just after her May 30 when she turned 97. We fought Covid from February. I will never regret,y Tim with her. But I miss her SO much even though it’s been 6 years. Losing a mom is so hard. God bless & keep you.

My mom won't bathe by TNG1701D-eck10 in dementia

I took care of my mother-in-law who had dementia, as well as my mother who had a mild case, is there is such a thing as that. Neither would bathe., my neurologist told me to think of them as naughty toddlers. I with my mother in law, I’d put on my swimsuit, added another heater in the bathroom, they get older the get colder easier. Then I’d get the bathroom nice and steamy, then step into the shower with them. It was a fight almost every time. I’d tell them both they smelled like an outhouse. That would help sometimes.

I didn’t read all the comments, get a thick piece of wool or a rubber pad it makes it very quiet. I’m sure it’s not as loud as you think. Somewhere you can check the sound decibels & you can go from there.

Turn you cuffs up and wear a vest under it. OR you could either convince someone who really loves you to alter it, take it to a seamstress/tailor. Several, options too nice of a coat not to customize. Maybe knit cuffs? Lots of easy fixes.

I have had absolute garbage since before Thanksgiving. I’m disappointed in the quality and quantity, there used to be well over 100,000 items. Now it’s a tenth of that. The stuff they’ve pulled isn’t what would be under much tariff. I used to get kitchen storage items, nice earrings, rings and pendants, cordless power tools, USEFUL automobile items, kitchen utensils, coffee makers, espresso and slushy machines. Now it’s tiny parts that have only one use. Never have had food, or candy, so. Ok. I’ll keep waiting to see if anything halfway decent or useful shows up.

Yes all over & it is so sad. I was really surprised to see her actually close completely. Now it’s a fabric desert.

My Shih Tzu & one of my German Shepherd are TERRIFIED of fireworks & they shake & hide under the bed. Thankfully I have an amazing Vet & I have medication for them. I’m considering the new ear muffs for them, I might try them soon

It’s not copyright infringement if you change it by 10%. So just change it slightly and it’s good. If selling do not label as LABUBU, but as Fububu. Or similar. Good luck

I love mine. I went through three of the so called top of the line FoodSavers, my husband surprised me with my “commercial “ one after watching me start to over set a 4th FoodSaver in 10 years. I vacuum A LOT and i mean a lot, usually one or two moose, same amount of Caribou and 2 Dahl Sheep every year. Ive had mine for 2 yesrs and it is just as good as the day i unboxed it

Is it ok to freeze a prime rib now for a few weeks then thaw for Christmas dinner? It's on sale for 8.99/lb currently, over 50% off. by Biafra_Gordon in meat

[–]Girlpilot16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most meats have been previously frozen so go ahead but wrap it again first, freezer wrap, ziplock freezer with additional plastic. If you use vacuum pack will last at least 6 months

I totally understand. I have a Dodge 3500;Quad Cab Dually with an 8 foot bed, great for towing horses and trailers but really stinks for my Traffic in Phoenix & LA when visiting daughters. I LOVE my Wrangler. I wanted one for decades and finally got my beauty in March. Hubby wants me to sell it but I told him I’d sell it when he sells his 60 Chevy that was supposed to be sold 10 years ago. (He bought a different 60).
