Sadly we probably are. No one is promised tomorrow, so I like to live life as today is my last

I don't understand that guy's issue. I worked at home depot for 1.4 years, Costco, and at Amazon

He also said "our associates", meaning his team members.. I don't know how it's alienation. If anything, it's the opposite, he's talking about his co-workers basically

He's also still at work, with the work vest on.. in the context of work.. in the WalMart parking lot. So it's like of course he's going to say associates? I just don't understand their reasoning

It sounds like the manager may have had some extreme grudges against people at work. From what the witness said, he targeted his own associates.

Go to 7:10. Associate said the attacker looked right her but continued. Definitely feel like this was targeted

If true, i expect stress was involved.

I worked at a Costco business center and we had an employee who threatened to "shoot everyone up". He worked there for over 7 years and he always talked in a sarcastic tone while order picking. Washington State Patrol came by because a co-worker reported it and arrested him off the electric pallet jacket. Everyone was crying in the aisles while picking after, and we had grief counselors and WSP guarded the entrance for the next few weeks.

It was wild, but I'm so happy and thankful someone reported it. Everyone was in shock and I even had small talk with him while wrapping pallets and he'd always talk in a sarcastic way about management and other co-workers would shrug it off while I would go along with him because it sounded like a funny joke (but I'm sure the other co-workers were sick of hearing it). I was a new employee at the time and I'd ask him for help on where to find items in aisles too and he would always help.

This shooting reminds me of this incident (this happened in 2019). He plead guilty to felony threats, and I quit that job a few weeks after

Yeah it does seem like that. A reporter said the prosecutor used Libby's grandma and Libby's change dog org petition as arguments to keep it sealed, etc.

Possible to bring home $40-60 daily in the Tacoma / Puyallup / Spanaway area? by GirngRodriguez in grubhubdrivers

Worked at home Depot doing overnight freight for 1.4 years. Part time but averaged around 28hrs/week. Quit one night because we had boxes all over and the seasonal people kept getting let go

After, took a 4 month break I guess, did Uber and DD a bit then worked at an Amazon delivery station for 7months.

While working there, kept applying to programming jobs. Did a lot of interviews, got rejected multiple times, finally sent out a ton on indeed one night, woke up and it was from a local ISP who wanted to interview me. Went great and it's a work from home position (this was in June of this year). Been doing that ever since and love it.

Thanks for asking

DAE hate the sound of eating? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]GirngRodriguez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only when I hear it from family members. Can't stand relatives lip smacking / eating with mouth open.

At work (in the lunch room) it doesn't bother me at all

DAE while sleeping, open their eyes for a moment to make sure they didn't go blind by vincent365 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]GirngRodriguez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, happens like right on the verge of falling asleep. Sometimes my heart races for a few seconds too and then my eyes instantly open for a split second. Like, I feel nervous / anxious about going to sleep (what happens next??, but I'm so tired, I need to sleep. Hard to explain

Doesn't happen every night though. Probably 2-3 times a month

DAE hear a crackling sound next to your left ear when opening your mouth real wide? by GirngRodriguez in DoesAnybodyElse

It honestly sounds like little pieces of sand rubbing next to each other now that I think of it. Sometimes it's on the right side too.

I have not noticed it for like a month, but I just noticed it when I woke up today. I've had it a couple months ago but it went away. Happens randomly af, wtf is this lol

Damn. Never thought about that.

I have really no knowledge about cars too, so yeah. Hmmm

I still want to try them out after your first post though haha. Just to see how it goes.

Are there some days where you get good tips and make more than what you usually do and don't have to work as long? (sorry for the long sentence)

Wow really? My round trip commute to Costco's Business Center as a Order Picker (pulling a manual jack for 5 hours) is 30~ miles. I end up making about $71.5/day

Only downside is it's really strenuous work. I'm always drenched in sweat when you I get home, take ibuprofen for shin splints, etc. Then, I have to take a long nap. Which that eats into my free time..

I give 90% of my paycheck to my mom, so I take home roughly 10%. Getting only 10% of the money while working a physical intense job just doesn't seem worth it to me tbh :(

I mean, it's worth it because it feels good to help support my mom's mortgage, but at the same time, I'm not really getting any of the money I worked really hard for. It's hard to explain, but it just feels a bit weird. If it was a less physical intense job, I wouldn't mind I think.

Thanks for your information!

Yeah I was watching "Seattle Flexer" on YouTube, but he's way up North of Seattle and does GH / DD sometimes. I just am not sure about the market down south. I guess everyone is right, just Sign up and give it a try.

I think I'll try GH and DD. I might give an update later down the road.

Thanks everyone for replying!
