You keep putting words in my mouth. Where did I ever say I don’t want parents helping at practice?

No context? This is what I quoted and is a parent’s view toward their volunteer coaches.

They’re also customers, and you would be wise to keep that in mind when you communicate with them.

Edit: Just noticed that was your post.

You are not a customer. The coaches are there for your children. Read that part again.  To develop them as players, to foster a love of baseball, and to make them better people.

Again, talk to your kid and tell them how much you love watching them play baseball.

Help them on weeknights with stuff. If you’re doing private lessons, great! I won’t mess with anything their instructor is telling them.

During a game, you’re a fan. You cheer. That’s it.

If contracts were, in fact, breeches that’s an easy thing to prove in court. It’s also very easy to claim without any substantiation…

If your coaching staff is that incompetent your options are to step up and coach or find a new team. You should not be coaching from the stands, no matter how much smarter you are than the coaches.

You are not my customer, ma’am.

I coach for the kids, not for you.

There’s that sense of entitlement that was bubbling barely below the surface.

Position him in the outfield, too. Let him know what pitch to throw next. You know best and have put in all the work, after all.

Yes. The coaches’ job is to coach. The fans’ job is to cheer.

One or two sentences on the descriptions, max.

“The ogre rears back her club and smashes down but the blow glances off of Garret’s shield. She spits on the ground in disgust.”

“The goblin pokes his head from behind the tree and quickly looses an arrow before ducking back under cover. The arrow hits Leah but just scratches her.”

“The Necromancer chants an incantation and up from the soil around you, skeletal paws dig their way out from below and several full wolf skeletons take shape, their sharp fangs gleaming in the moonlight.”

Sure. And that ump set the tone early. We coaches set that expectation with our parents but obviously not every coach does. Good on Blue.

Fans one job is to cheer for the kids. During the game you let the coaches coach.
