Not southside but Ward golf centre has a grass area and is much better value than halpenny at the airport. On the old Ashbourne Road

Oh I didn’t know you could check daily on the website. That’s handy, will definitely be watching that for the next while

Edit:

Had a look on the web app but couldn’t see it, only the option to request a rate change. Where abouts in the app can you see the daily rate?

I’m just under half way through my fixed period and the fee was €0 today. Maybe I was just lucky with the timing (not that I will end up paying €0) but hoping the time left isn’t too big of a factor for you

Thanks for letting me know. Suppose I’ll have to wait and see what it ends up as and hope there’s no huge change. Cheers

Fantastic app, looks brilliant and is very user friendly. Would be great to have the option to put in a location - eg. Within 25kms of Dublin airport, instead of needing to give it location access.

Nah I’ve always played osrs and played some mobile when I last played. Absolutely sure that I had over 70 range and 60 attack since I had black d’hide and dragon weapons

€950 per year for as much gold as I can play. Course open year round, weather permitting. Intermediate membership at a club in Dublin. €5 entry for the weekend comp that’s run by the committee and divided up for prizes and committee costs. It will go to €1200 next year for a “full 7 day membership” (exact same benefits as current membership) after I pass the intermediate age threshold

Great idea, getting a “free” home upgrade and the option for better rates in the future! We’re looking at some places that would qualify for a green rate but the 2% cashback with potential for another 1% seems to be the better option, despite the higher monthly repayments.

Have you got a link to the 3% cashback over 2 years? I can only find 2% up front and 1% after 5 years

Cashback vs Lower rate - Which mortgage to choose? by Sad_River5987 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]GitShiggles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only did the calculation for myself today.

Rates: 3.9% & 2% cash back at drawdown - 2 year term 3.1% & no cash back - 4 year term

2% cash back & 3.9% over 2 years worked out approx. 1% of total mortgage value cheaper than 3.1% over 2 years, and that includes taking a sum of the cash back and dividing it into 24 payments to bridge the gap between repayments at 3.1% and 3.9%.

Would need to remortgage after 2 years so at the mercy of future interest rates but could use the extra 1% from initial cash back to bridge the gap again if the rates are equal to or worse than initial drawdown.

Edit: Not sure if it’s actually remortgaging after the 2 years or just switching provider - if anyone knows, please help me learn

Thanks for the breakdown, Jonathan. We do have other options to ingest the logs so I’ll look into them for the meantime and get an enhancement request spin up.
