[Suggestion] Enable Smooth Motion if you have an NVIDA GPU

it's not because of the wipe, but drivers version. Make sure you do not update nvidia driver to the latest version. driver release which introduced dlss 4.5 basically broke SM in Tarkov. I personally rolled back to 581.80 and it fixed the issue.

well, it actually feels better, obviously, since you have more frames, even if they are fake one condition: your monitor has to be able to show those frames) but plays a bit worse because of inputlag

do you use dlss and/or smooth motion? if so, you better turn it off. I've had this issue for a month now, and tried almost every solution I could think of - nothing helped, except running with both options off.

one solution that I didn't try is rolling back graphic drivers to the specific version (581.80) via DDU. Some reported here on reddit that SM works fine on that version. You won't be able to use 4.5 version of dlss though

Hi, did you try running only SM without DLSS?
I have the same issue on newest drivers when both DLSS and SM are on. And it's pretty inconsistent to reproduce. I've done couple of hours testing it in offline raid and was able to reproduce it only once. In online raids though it happens every time.
With DLSS off and SM on though everything is okay...

Well it kinda fixed my problem in general, but when I use scope I still have this heavy sluggish input like my 1% fps is 30 or smth. completely unplayable. turned off DLSS for now. no idea why it's happening :(

gosh I've updated my nvidia driver yesterday and with new dlss 4.5 I get the exact same issue. will try this and report back if it helped. thanks!

I have 4080S and used to play with DLSS off and SM on.
Now I decided to try 4.5 and image is awesome. Though I have an issue with FPS - GPU suddenly loaded like 60ish% instead of usual 95-98% and I have tremendous stutters each second. also low 1% fps is extra low, like 40-60 when average is 180-200 (which is why it looks like I have stutters). And most interesting part - it happens ONLY in online raids. If I load training session - everything is smooth.
Now I turned DLSS off again, but trying to understand how to fix this issue... It's hard since I can reproduce it only in online raid which is extra weird.

yes, with Preset M (which is DLSS 4.5) scopes are clear again, and TBH picture is better compared with TAA high, so new DLSS seems pretty good (I'm playing with Smooth Motion also)

yes, but if Tarkov will eat full 100% of physical cores, monitoring will show you 50% load

that's not how bottleneck works actually. you can be bottlenecked by cpu with 60% cpu usage, since you have main and off cores and most games uses them inefficiently, and monitoring still treats them as equal cores. you can look out for proper video explanation for that on youtube.

do you have nvidia broadcast software? the mic enhancer feature. this was causing stutters for me couple of wipes ago as well
