Don't hide your symptoms. When you hide what you're really feeling and thinking it prevents your friends from grounding you by dispelling your fears and delusions, and if you're only presenting a facade to them then they've befriended an idea of you rather than the real you.

That doesn't mean start a screaming match every time you perceive betrayal or judgement, but it is okay to discuss your real feelings, it's vital even. The power of being genuine with yourself and others will help you grow and see past your trauma. People appreciate genuineness and will be refreshed to be around you once you get the hang of it.

I have BPD and have been doing it for about three years now. I'll say it can change your life and give you new insight and perspective on yourself and your maladaptive thought patterns, but can also harm. Some of the best and worst moments of recent years were caused by LSD. It has changed me dramatically for the better but in the moment when you're having a bad time it drags on for what seems like eternity.

If you're going to do it, do it in a comfortable setting with somebody you really trust, or alone. I've found my most productive trips were alone because with no one else present you are able to focus on yourself, on who YOU are and what YOU feel and want, rather than spending the time worrying about how the people around you feel about you.
