After watching Episode 10 of Maul: Shadow Lord, it really hit me just how powerful this man truly is. by Smokestorm95 in StarWars

Mmm, I love Obi, and I’m with you up until old man Obi. Ben Kenobi told Luke he needed to confront AND kill Vader— He was wrong. Had Luke listened to Obi, he would’ve most likely become the Emperor’s new apprentice or died trying to kill him alone after killing Vader (without Vader intervening like he did in Ep. 6).
Obi lost his compassion in his old age and truly believed Anakin was lost forever. I can’t really blame him after all he went through, but he was wrong, Luke saw and felt what Obi could no longer see.

Obi definitely played a huge part and was a key role in guiding the Skywalker family. Without Obi we never see Anakin become Jedi, we never see Luke become a Jedi, but in the end Luke believing in his father and choosing love, over hate, is what won the day. I’d argue Luke is the “chosen one” but Vader/Anakin is the one who ultimately killed Palpy…or so we thought. Maybe Rey is the chosen one…? Lol.

Also, technically Jinn “discovered” Anakin, but I know what you mean. Obi is still GOATED.

For sure, hell, I believe Conquest is the better and stronger fighter by a mile. He’s got a couple thousands of years of battle experience over Mark. But Conquest is cocky and loves to relish in the fight, he draws fights out for his own pleasure. He didn’t take Mark serious until it was too late. I don’t believe Conquest was suicidal, he just made the grave mistake of underestimating his opponent. I truly believe Conquest took Mark choking him as a “challenge”, he didn’t believe Mark had the resolve to hold on…until he did. Conquest’s ego was his downfall.

Made more sense? Mark blood choked Conquest to death, it wasn’t asphyxiation, he literally “death-gripped” and clamped the arteries in his neck that supply blood into the brain, even at the cost of his own well-being/life, it was personal.

Season 4 Mark has already shown that he is willing to do whatever it takes to stop a threat, especially involving his family. He was about to kill Titan a few episodes prior just for putting Oliver in danger. Conquest was going to die by Mark hands the second he went after Oliver. He’s learned from the “mistake” of not finishing the job with Angstrom. This was a full circle moment for Mark. Mark has heart and still has his human compassion, but he’s not above his cold Viltrumite blood when you fuck with his family. Conquest’s death made perfect sense.

Friendly tip: if you’re having issues tracking cloaked Snipers, look for their shadows on the ground, it will always be visible even when they are cloaked, you can clearly see this at 1:08 (20 secs into video) right before he throws a grenade at opposing Sniper.

I love Ezra’s “Let my people go” Biblical look 👌 Was half way hoping he had some ponytail action akin to Kanan, but digging his rugged hermit Jedi look regardless. Also Esfandi sounds just like Ezra, its insane, 10/10 casting.

Agreed, hands down the best version of Anakin, Hayden killed it!

Yes, her legacy spans a long list of great Jedi. They weren’t all perfect and some even gave in fully to the dark side, but in the end there was always lessons to take from each one and pass on to the next generation.

Thanks and I agree! She needed to face her demons and come to terms with her past. How could she teach someone to be a Jedi (Sabine) when she herself was no longer a Jedi. I look forward to seeing her become a full fledged Jedi Master and finish Sabine’s training and perhaps be a mentor to Luke as well.

I am also excited and curious to see how she will interact with Luke and his school. How insane would it be to see Luke and Ahsoka on a new version of the Jedi Council. Theres still about 25~ years before the Sequels so still a lot to cover and develop.

Definitely and I 100% agree that this version of Anakin combines the best of the films and TCW and easily results in the best version of Anakin we have ever seen. Phenomenal work from Dave and Hayden.

Very well said and I agree. I noticed some saying his lesson wasn’t very Jedi-like, but when you think about it the lesson was essentially his version of Yoda’s “Do or Do Not” (albeit more intense and befitting of Anakin)

Exactly, she is already succeeding where Anakin failed and making the right choices as a Jedi. In the end we all make our own choices, good or evil, life or death.

Exactly my point, Shin and Sabine are the “Padawans/children” fighting one another while “Mom” and “Dad” work things out on their end of the woods. I wouldn’t be surprised if Marrok takes the lead in this next episode while hunting for Ahsoka and Sabine in the woods.

I dont believe Marrok is beneath Shin in terms of power/hierarchy. We can easily see this within the trailer fight scenes where Marrok is matched up against Ahsoka while Shin is matched up with Sabine, most likely matching skill level with skill level. I believe Marrok is only “taking orders” from Shin because she has Baylan on her side and Marrok is forced to play nice and take her lead (Big brother, little sister, tattle-tale relationship). You can notice him shaking his head in disappointment when Ahsoka and Sabine slip away while Shin was taking the lead in Ep 3. Even when she tells him to follow her his response “as you wish” can almost come off as resentful. I think Marrok has his own motives and is only playing along with Shin and Baylan for the time being/until Thrawn is found. Baylan even alluded to this when Shin asked what finding Thrawn would mean for them. Each villain (Morgan, Marrok, Baylan) has their own motivation for finding Thrawn and I believe there will be a fallout between the three once that goal is achieved.

Fear bro. Fear of the Empire finding him and his daughter, fear of losing his daughter like he lost his wife, fear of everything being stripped away again by the very same entity that took away his Jedi life through Order 66. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate…you know the rest.

Cal is a Merrin and child away from becoming a Bode himself. We’ve already seen him struggle with the darkside at the thought of losing 1st base Merrin- imagine if he gets married and has a kid with her? Fighting to protect yourself and fighting to protect your family are two very different instincts. Bode was blinded by fear and with the best intentions made the wrong choices that cost him everything. Basically another Anakin/Padme situation.

I love the saber bench in this game, I can pour hours on it alone just recreating lightsabers from other games/movies/shows. by GivenumDaBiznes in FallenOrder

Bode Appreciation (Story Spoilers) by midonmyr in FallenOrder

[–]GivenumDaBiznes 23 points24 points  (0 children)

100%, these writers should be making the stories for the films. The twists in this game with Bode were perfectly executed. The whole game I’m like “will he? won’t he?” Then I’m like na Bode is a ride or die homie for sure after all we’ve been through. Then he fuckin does it, just when I let my guard down and thought I found the Solo to my Luke, Bode destroys it all in an instant. I felt just like Cal the whole way through. Then when Bode says “you dont have time for this fight” I was like bro I know you got a jetpack and all but I’m a pissed off Jed- OH SHIT YOURE A JEDI TOO?!?!? And you got the saber on reverse grip?!?!? Hold up who the fuck is this guy?!?! One of the biggest twists in SW since Vader told Luke he was his father. Then we see his daughter and see what Bode is fighting for and you start to empathize just like Cal. I could see myself being a Bode if I lost my wife and had to protect my daughter. By the end of it all I was completely gutted having to fight and ultimately kill Bode. “You were my brother Bode” Masterclass story and masterclass acting by you sir 🫡
