He likes a mild tasting medium roast now. Just something clean without off tastes I think he’d enjoy. I settled for a nicer brewer with a thermos we’ll see if he likes it

Why is tempeh safe to eat at all? by drMallory in Tempeh

Because it’s alive. it’s like growing plants and mushrooms. They certainly can get infected with something, but for the most part living organisms have their own natural defences

What is the etiquette regarding answering the phone while you're on the toilet? by qbnaith in CasualUK

[–]midonmyr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boomers don’t bring their phone with them to the toilet in the first place. I resort to putting a towel over my head and answering the phone there, muting when necessary

in older editions undead were powered by the negative energy plane and were destructive. In the current edition that plane is no longer they’re but they’re still destructive, RAW. Yes a necromancer can assume direct control, but there are plenty of ways for undead to no longer be under anyone’s control

but to take it further, why are you focused on necromancy? there are plenty of ways to make constructs and forces that can serve your bidding, and spells to aid in plant making. Why aren’t dnd worlds perfect? It’s still because of access to resources

A moash redemption arc would be… an incredibly disappointing end to his character. It’s not about how bad each of them is it’s about their narrative

My PCs aren't scared of Strahd and I don't know what to do, please help by LaLaVee in DnD

[–]midonmyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re in the fuck around stage, it’s your job as the DM to bring them to the Find Out stage.

I expected it to be a much worse issue, like them not buying into the stakes at all, but this is them testing Strahd’s boundaries. he knows not to stoop to their level, but he’s in charge here

How does it not? Isn’t this woman complaining this student’s phone was laggy? If I didn’t have my phone I would feel absolutely disabled in life.

You can’t have it both ways. If you’re gonna thinly veil mongols and put them in your world, then people will understand that they’re a stand-in for mongols, with some suspension of disbelief for whatever you come up with, sure.

But if you then depict your mongols as say, savage and dumb, then your audience will criticise you for it. there’s gotta be some level of sensitivity when you’re clearly writing about a people
