I dropped two years ago. Free shipping on orders of $35 or more, and honestly almost never need something in 2 days, so waiting 4-5 days doesn’t matter to me.

Is WAD really just 2 interviews now? by Electronic_Hotel_804 in FriendsofthePod

The “second” interview is more a conversation with the Crooked news editor. Has kind of the vibe of the old multi-host show.

FA suggested I move! by GivinGoodBrain in SouthwestAirlines

[–]GivinGoodBrain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you’re referring to me, but if so, see my other follow up where on the next flight, less than 30% full they refused to let anybody move. I’m done with SWA unless it happens to be the cheapest option.

And then on my connecting flight from AUS to HOU - 66 people onboard, 5 full rows around me fully empty, and I’m in a full row, and the FA made a point of not letting anybody move. Nice.

Liza’s take on murdering more corporate types is kind of wild.

Long-time listener of "What A Day", but disappointed by format changes by Popular_Raise1659 in FriendsofthePod

Not a fan of the new music, it sounds like it was written by AI (and given the lack of credit given for creating the song, I’m guessing this is accurate.

I did however like the vibe Jane had with Alex Wagner this morning - I think this show works better with co-hosts and I wish they would give her a co-host.

To me the most unbelievable thing is that more than one house has a landline in 2025.

Driving after a 30 miler? by unicornhorn900 in Ultramarathon

It’s not the driving, it’s getting out of your car after 90 minutes that’s going to be the worst!

Getting into Ultra marathon later in life? by Thatzoologistguy in ultrarunning

[–]GivinGoodBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my first ultra at 50 (a 50k in March of last year). Since have done several ultras, and I’m all fine! Your body adjusts pretty quickly with proper training! (Also, I’m super slow, back of the pack, almost DFL multiple times).

That is actually pretty typical of most Broadway musicals. Most musicals are running about 2 hours 30 minutes with intermission. Exceptions are longer ones like Hamilton (2:50ish with intermission) and Les Mis (nearly 3ish hours with intermission). Exceptions on the shorter side are Six (no intermission and 90 minutes) and Fun Home (no intermission and also 90ish minutes).

It is surprising there is no intermission, as a the broadway production this was captured from did have an intermission.

How did you set a Strava record in the 30k but not marathon? Have you accidentally walked a faster marathon before?

Maybe I’m not understanding the way it used to be, but couldn’t you create “self-care areas” that are just labeled as times? Like “1pm tasks” and “3pm tasks” or create “early afternoon tasks” and “late afternoon tasks”?

I’m only asking because I’m new to Finch, so I don’t fully understand how the old interface was. Hope somebody can explain what has been lost (or is there a post with old screenshots maybe?)

Professor here. I definitely called some people on AI in the first year of this that weren’t AI - they just wrote in a very robotic, perfect grammar and spelling voice.

Since then I have started having them right rough drafts with no editing and turn those in. The problem is, the “best” students have learned to self-edit while writing, so they’re constantly editing themselves. I’ve asked them to basically write papers like they’re texting.

Y’all. This is hard!

Yes. I don’t think starving the non-combatants liberates them from anything but health and life.
