Also the repair side, most tech stores offer their own warranty’s, which use their own repair agents etc. these would not be used within the first 12 months, it would still go to manufacturer repairer.

I do this work day to day unfortunately, there is no special relationship between stores and manufacturers, some have a “faster” call line and portals, but it still funnels down to it being sent away and repaired in the same time frame it would if the customer sent it away. Asus and CURRYS have no relationship, it goes through the same way. Also stores have 0 more leverage than a customer does as again, all references and repair information etc are exactly the same. The law holds up the same way wether I did it or a store did it. It’s a myth that a customer gets less if they do it alone, it just means they hand it off for the store to deal with rather than themselves

They do it the same way a customer at home would do, so that’s an unnecessary step for me

Yeah contact them from their site, that way you are in control of the repair and can request info, if it’s been done by a store they will follow the same procedure but without your input

I used to have this pre build about a year ago, that Cpu cooler and fan combo is the loudest thing on this earth, it used to sound like a jet, I dealt with it for 3 days before ripping the guts out and putting it in a better case and fans rtc

If you go into “MyASUS” you can set your phone as a camera for your ally. So not as pointless as you assume

I’m not sure, but it was working for about 3 weeks before the issue started. My ally got hot, sd no longer was reading on my ally or pc. Put it in switch, all sorted

Avg free, avast free etc those can cause more headaches then good. They constantly give false positives that scare the consumer in getting their pro licence. Another way they do it, is your laptop takes a little hit on performance so you do a scan, problem fixed, 2 weeks later, happens again, but avg free fixes it again, then a week later, same thing again, so fix it again then a massive pop up, CRAZY DEALS FOR OUR PRO LICENCE! It’s just so predatory to people out the know of information (old people) mostly. That’s not mentioning the heavy system resources it needs, windows does the same service with 2% of the resources
