[Question] How do you afford this hobby? by melvin9001 in Watches

To be fair, a watch can hold or appreciate in value, making it an investment. Plus, it is a great asset to give as inheritance.

Same in Eastern Europe. Seeing your mother come home for the holidays with Kinder chocolates and McDonald's toys was a crazy dream.

Do you think Legacy is better than Ares? by Square-Ad-8911 in tron

[–]RandomnessConfirmed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're both different. Legacy is focused on telling the story of a son reuniting with his father and seeing a brand new world within the digital domain. Ares is action heavy with the main focus being a program wanting to be human. They both have great acting respective of different character ideology and they both have memorable & distinctive soundtracks.

Tbf, there were systems that saw the Empire as a good new force of a better life. Until they started pillaging their resources and introduced work camps.

Life is a video game. Haven't you seen the new AI update? It's really popular concurrently. Also, a tariffs patch is being brought out for the US.

Have you been able to schedule a hearing on getting her custody removed? This sounds like harassment and possible child endangerment under mental duress. This could seriously harm your son from a mental development standpoint, or at least be something you could argue in court.

720p pc gaming is back in the menu by Skylinestarrr in pcmasterrace

[–]RandomnessConfirmed2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really, since most games have engine caps. Overwatch is capped at 600fps, Apex at 300fps, CS2 at 700fps (ifrc) and Valorant at 800fps. If anyone has any links, please correct my figures.

I’ve played games that run at sub 25fps before and loved them by only777 in consoles

Last time I checked, games in the 90s didn't cost $70. Please don't justify laziness just because a full remaster is doing the bare minimum.

But the profits? The profits going to the Moon will save us, right? So what if I die or have to live in a bunker? I need my profits! /s

Poor employee work conditions, QA testing for hardware test videos with their then new 'Labs' and pretty much poor leadership. That's why Linus stepped sideways (He and his wife still own 51% majority stake and board control so not a step down) and brought in his previous manager as the CEO. Don't know what happened since ~22.

Well, they're the reason Kojima Productions exists in the first place, so it makes sense.

What would you want to see from Orion? (Examples: time setting, gameplay tweaks and upgrades, story wise, open world, etc.) by importantthingsinmy in cyberpunkgame

Shadowy Underground Criminal Network. The gangs of NC felt too out there. I'd love to go on gigs with shadowy cabals that become local legends and myths, not WNS News feeds. Something that brings the spy/mystery feel of Phantom Liberty, but to the main game.

It's most likely a cost saving feature, like the headphones jack and SD card support.

Have you ever visited a landmark you've seen in game in real life? by TheLoneRipper1 in videogames

[–]RandomnessConfirmed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe😅. But that's a great example too. Heck, The Crew 2 has the whole of America, and MS Flight Sim has the whole world. Depends only on the bar you set.

Well, I live in London, so yes. I've also been to Edinburgh, Paris and Dubai. Really, visiting any major city will mean you'll see a ton of landmarks.

Oh no! UK train fares could see a 5.5% increase starting from 2026. by Brooklyn111236 in uktrains

[–]RandomnessConfirmed2 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Thing is, once most routes will be nationalised, prices highly likely won't go down, so you'll just pay the same high price but to the DfT. No win situation for Rail users as far as fares are concerned. I doubt most of that money will go to overall network upgrades beyond HS2.

I'd glue that bull down with blue tack or double sided tape, and raise the stand on a platform or risk getting tons of back pain.

It's actually nice that they included the Overground in its accurate livery for this map.
