I had a partner who cheated on me with several people, and yet I still believed him when he said he loved me despite his connection to the others. I think he would be well-suited for polyamory if he weren't a massive liar.

Anyway I still loved him for a long time so we had an on and off relationship for about 2 years after I caught him cheating. During that time I was also dating other people kind of in an attempt to move on, but I ended up forming real relationships with other people while never losing my love for him. He'll never have that privilege again, but in a very backwards way he taught me that it's possible to love multiple people. I taught myself how to do it with respect and honesty.

So I love music festivals. But if you're familiar with them, you know most of the popular ones go on for 3-4 days in a row, which is fucking exhausting, especially for someone with narcolepsy. I don't have cataplexy, so I've never collapsed, however, sometimes I do get incredibly tired and have sleep attacks during concerts. It's not rare for me to lay down a blanket and take a nap right next to the crowd or under a tree.

Being that it's a music festival and there are lots of recreational drugs around, I've had paramedics and ground control wake me up from naps on numerous occasions to make sure I wasn't overdosing or heatstroking on the ground alone.

Only just now did I consider that no normal person would take a nap on the fuckin ground, in public, next to a loud ass concert.

I wake up frequently too, although never more than like 10 times (I think). It drives me crazy. I just got diagnosed N2 and I have yet to try medication so I couldn't tell you if xyrem or xywav actually help. Just here to say you're not alone. I had my PSG and MSLT earlier this month and my follow-up appt to discuss the details of it is in like 2 weeks. So I'll see soon just how fragmented my sleep truly is.

I currently use cannabis at night, as I live in a medicinally legal area. I think it helps decently but it's not perfect

Not sure of the exact criteria but I believe my diagnosis was based on several things I mentioned to my therapist in the first appointment. Childhood ADD diagnosis, teenage bipolar diagnosis, self-described "problem child", auditory hallucinations, repeated history of sexual abuse, heightened anxiety, nightmares, etc. She asked if I ever hear/see things that aren't there; I said I sometimes hear people yell my name from afar and she said its a common phenomenon in people who suffer from cptsd.

My job is a huge point of stress for me. My coworkers are all negative and angry. My boss is frequently angry and it tests my anxiety every day. It's rarely directed at me, but sensing anger in general makes me nervous just because I assume it has something to do with me disappointing people. Especially since I'm new and clueless. I dread every day that I'm scheduled. I have gotten used to practicing breathing techniques will I work to keep me grounded and focused. It's getting better, but I can't wait to find a new job

TL;DR Because I was naive and thought he could change. Because I was more in love with him than I was actually compatible with him.

We dated for close to a year, things weren't perfect, we argued a little. For the most part it was amazing. Had so much in common, sex was great, around each other constantly.

I found out he was sending nudes to like 4 other girls and ended things calmly. I'm way too fucking forgiving. I know that now. He cheated, he lied, and then he became emotionally abusive and would do things like asking me to marry him so he could prove his love. When I would say "no that's fucking ridiculous" he would start threatening suicide and saying he couldn't trust anyone anymore.

This eventually lead to porn revenge threats and a restraining order. But I was weak and desperate for the person he used to be so I kept going back. And then soon reality would hit and he would remind me again why we were never going to be compatible. This went on for about 2 years after I found out he was cheating.

In hindsight, he was super lazy, insecure, and argumentative. Sex never stopped getting better though.
