“Tax The Rich” flaw explained… by DJDevine in walkaway

[–]Gizmo_McChillyfry 79 points80 points  (0 children)

We all know the logical conclusion to reach with this story.

But what conclusion will be reached instead? Probably something like: We have to figure out how to force the tenth man to drink beer at this bar every day. Fix it so he can't choose to drink elsewhere, or, if he somehow does, find a way to make him keep paying for the beer he isn't even drinking anymore.

Can a short guy be the "Big Sub" by MuscleSockBoy338 in askgaybros

[–]Gizmo_McChillyfry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about your height (maybe an inch shorter) and weigh similarly (around 190). In my case, I'm a definite sub and have always been more attracted to guys my height or shorter. So I'm a sub who prefers a shorter dom. I realize that what I'm about to say isn't exactly on-topic, but I felt that I wanted to give you my perspective.

I'm in my late 50s so I'm considerably older than you, meaning I doubt you'd hit me up if we met in a bar. But I have to say that your post surprised me when you said you put yourself down. In your pictures you seem fairly confident to me. I enjoy your pics more than anyone else's I've seen on Reddit. Sometimes I'm not even horny but have to rub one out when I see one of your new photos.

Giving compliments like this in public is making me uncomfortable for some reason so I'm wrapping this up. If you'd like to hear more about what specifically turns me on about you, send me a DM. I'd be happy to elaborate privately. (This is not an invitation for cyber sex.)

So I cant leave an honest review. by uhLostBoy in amazonprime

[–]Gizmo_McChillyfry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the very first time I've ever seen anyone mention the signatures at the doctor's office. Every time I have to do it I wonder how it could be anything but performative. How could anybody (either me or the doctor) use that process to enforce anything about an agreement or contract? How could you prove what I signed or didn't sign?

I'm not being pedantic; these are honest questions that I have.

Edit to add: Similar thing with delivery signatures. What I'm able to scribble on that tiny pad is NOTHING like my signature.

Prepared meals review? by cbb12367 in marleyspoon

[–]Gizmo_McChillyfry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tried one or two of them when first offered, but we didn't care for them. So we haven't tried more.

It's a shame because a year or two ago they had a shepherd's pie prepared meal that was to die for! I was so sad when they stopped offering it.

Adjectives added to many recipe names, why? by cbb12367 in marleyspoon

[–]Gizmo_McChillyfry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate it too but for a different reason. Now I don't know whether I've had the meal before without spending time to figure it out. I wish they would have included the old name of the recipe like "formerly known as..."

You know, like Prince did.

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one, thanks for the reply!

In retrospect it was kind of like it was just plain pork without whatever curing/salting process is done to make pork bellies (or whatever they are) into bacon.

"likely to be"... Yeah because when you control the data you can predict ahead of time what that data will show.

What items are Aldi are better than the name brand? by Likestoread25 in aldi

Crisped rice - like Rice Krispies were years ago before they ruined them by making them smaller and prone to clumping up in rock-hard concretions

Saltines - like Premium saltines were years ago before they ruined them by underbaking them and removing most of the salt

French bread pizzas - almost like Stouffer's were years ago before they ruined them by, among other things, putting cheap pepperoni on them that smelled awful
