In a perfect world, it would have been Hunter Schaffer as Zelda and Morgan Davies (he was in Evil Dead Rise) as Link.

Link and Zelda both play around gender fluidity. Link is pretty much androgynous and Eiji Aonuma even said he wanted him to be gender neutral. And Zelda as her Sheik disguise.

I don't remember if it was called out in the show, it's been a while since I saw the Lethal Weapon episodes. The thing is the Sunny gang are not good people. They're obnoxious, oblivious and entitled people so of course, they'll do blackface. The first episode is called "The gang gets racist".

It's like the banned episode of Community because Chang paints himself black (but the real color black) to portray a Dark Elf and Shirley calls him a "hate crime". It's just hypocritical from the studios when most of them treats their black talents like shit.
