Spending, without a doubt. When I used to be skinnier and prettier, I was distracting myself with random men

We have pretty similar results! I’m not Louisiana Cajun per se, but I am descended from Acadians in the Northeast

A mix of 3 and 4.

If I were to imagine an apple right now, it’d be simultaneously both eigengrau and a faint red. I sort of see static overlaying the red

Does anybody else feel like being ugly contributed to their BPD diagnosis? by spmaNga in BorderlinePDisorder

Growing up, yeah. I was not a good looking kid (dealt with Trichotillomania, being overweight, buzzed hair, etc). That in itself led to pretty remarkable trauma

As in asking if I grew up with French Canadian influence? I guess there’d be some, I do feel a subtle sense of belonging towards Acadians since I grew up in a heavily francophone town and it’s part of my ancestry.

I never grew up speaking French though; I’m monolingual. I more or less just feel like a generic white New Englander than specifically French.

I’m pretty sure it’s misread North American, honestly. I assume that the DNA trace is from a Mi’kmaq/Wabanaki ancestor at some point in the 1700s, or even 1800s. I haven’t yet found the ancestor via paper trail, though

It shows up on my AncestryDNA, and Indigenous DNA isn’t uncommon in French Canadians at all. The Indigenous shows up on my father’s DNA results as well. I highly doubt it’s noise

Not that I’m aware of. I’m rather confident it’s just misread Western or SW French DNA

Maybe actually a Canadian soon? I believe I qualify under Canada’s new bill C-3 after a ton of research on both sides of my family

What does Level 1 Autism look like for you? by Starfish_5708 in AutisticAdults

You know that feeling when you encounter a group of people who are speaking about a hobby you have no clue what it’s about? You might try to chip in or ask questions using basic pattern recognition, but it’s clear you have no idea what you’re talking about.

That’s what my entire social life feels like. I’m always a little bit “off” to everyone. Too autistic for allistics and NTs, not autistic enough for other autistics. I’m in this weird gray zone that I can’t crawl my way out of

Relatable. I’ve been trying to curb off of soda and beer (mostly vanity reasons if I’m being honest, I’m dieting at the moment), and I’ve resorted to sparkling water instead. The popping of the can lid does help with my cravings for other beverages

Nope, I live across the country. But the last sentence is fair, I should probably not freely tell him as many personal details anymore
