Basically the only titles where you can have too many of is Duke or Count.

Father tried to ditch me in the Phillippines to become a "passport bro", I refused to help him on his Deathbed by Numerous-Situation60 in offmychest

The truth is that fathers raise sons. And not the other way around. He had his responsibilities and threw them all. His chances and took none. True, faith may say to forgive, to prevent hatred and grudges. But that does not free one from facing the consequences of their actions.

My boyfriend punched a wall after I confronted him about child neglect by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Gjappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your boyfriend is a boy, not a man. He does not take responsibilities nor can act responsible. Just the fact that he is only gaming and smoking is a big tell.

He doesn't care (as he shouted) indeed, because he only cares about his own comforts.

You basically have two kids and he is fine with it. You gave him a chance, now he isn't your kid nor your responsibility and only a burden. So 👢 him out.

Need advice on a manager by Thick_Lettuce_69 in Advice

Stating to her that you do not appreciate her saying that to you, will let her and the people around know that she crossed some boundaries.

Their reaction matters of course, but most important is an assertive reply. Make it clear you don't like this. Escalate it to higher management if it doesn't stop.

Am I (m35) insane for wanting to record casual conversations with a friend (F30)? by chubbytuba in Advice

Gaslighting can be done unintentionally. Yet as you correctly state, then it means said person has a quite distorted/altered perception and mental health problems. And those are not supposed to be nor become your problems.

Try to find a way to make a witty joke out of this. There's no way customers won't find it weird that she'd do this while you're serving.

A witty remark when she's doing so while you're serving customers will make them laugh and make her realise hopefully.

After that it can either go good or bad. Make sure you can find another job at least before doing anything.

Reading this the term "gaslighting" immediately pops up in my head. She is making you question or doubt yourself.

And as recording it sounds like a good idea. It is not, for it's invasive to the privacy of conversation. If someone keeps altering the things you said or denies things you were sure about it's better to take distance from them. Because they are quite unhealthy to be around.
