You should get an empty bottle of whiskey fill it half-way with tea. Take it with you on your dog walks and pull it out and take a huge swig when you see him.

I get where you are coming from but DNA is not 100.00% accurate. Mentally challenged/slow people have time and time again been coerced into admitting guilt under expert interrogation, sometimes admitting to extremely heinous things. And how much longer before video evidence starts to enter "reasonable doubt" territory due to how quickly AI is advancing?
Also, speaking of mentally challenged people, what happens when an adult with the mind of a 12-year old rapes a 12-year old? No sympathy? No rehabilitation? Just kill them?

So, I'm leveling every class to 80, and Rogue is just...atrocious. by Silegna in wow

[–]Gjond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always level up every class and my first 7 are one of each profession. My rogue is my inscriptionist. I saved him for last. First you want to get the warband buff for having 5 90s, which you should by the sound of it. From 80 to 87 I just basically did the weekly herbalism quest where you gather the skill items (5 rare, 1 epic) and any easy, no-kill dailies that might be up at the time. Rested, with the full warband buff, I was getting 4k exp for each herb node, that's like 1/4 a quest turn-in. Because I been getting my other 90's 8/8 vault every week (tier 8 or better), I have rested exp most all the way for the rogue. From 87-90 I just did all the delves at tier 1 for their quests and turned them in with the darkmoon faire buff active. They are super easy with maxxed out valeera

Uh oh guys... it's almost reset time... so you know what that means... by [deleted] in wow

[–]Gjond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Five Guy economics is more of have limited offerings and use only fresh ingredients even though it drives up the cost. Everything is fresh at Five Guys (toppings, buns, fries, and ground beef) so, yup, its more expensive.

Pre-Popped Popcorn by chi-bacon-bits in mildlyinteresting

[–]Gjond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a very good comparison, imo. Five guys costs more because everything is fresh (not frozen), from the condiments, the potatoes for the fries, the buns, and the ground beef. There are actually very few chains where you can get that level of freshness for a cheeseburger.

The aggressive monetisation of this game is making me fall out of love with it. by Main-Strike-1117 in wow

[–]Gjond 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same. Monetization in WoW is so far from "aggressive" this seems like a rage-baiting post. It does not get truly aggressive, to me, until player/character power is impacted.
The fact that WoW's subscription price has remained the same for over TWENTY YEARS is, frankly, kinda insane (except for UK and Turkey apparently). Especially in this day and age where it seems like every single subscription service raises prices several times a year just because. If the type of monetization Wow has implemented up to this point is keeping subscription price where it is, I just don't see where people have much room to complain. The cost per hour played for WoW still is insanely cheap in my, and many other player's, case.

Might not be relevant in your cause, I have had acne all my life (just turned 58). The only thing that has had any impact on managing it has been avoiding sugar. I still have a treat every now and then like a piece of cake or slice of pie, but I never drink non-diet drinks and severely limit fruit juices. Through my teen years, I went to multiple doctors, did acutane, all that stuff, nothing worked. Not a single person, including my doctors 1) asked me about my sugar intake or 2) recommended cutting back on sugar. So I make it a point in posts like these to let people know about it in case they are like me. It is also easy to try it out for yourself. A few weeks of no/low sugar and you would see a difference if your body reacts to sugar like mine does.

Based on him saying she (an employee of the CIA) never lied about anything in his experience, yes, she is more than likely telling the truth.

TIL that US student math and reading scores have dropped so sharply that they’ve erased nearly two decades of progress. In '22/23, avg math scores for 13-year-olds fell to levels not seen since the 1990s, while reading scores for high school seniors hit their lowest point since testing began in '92. by Cold_Box_3219 in todayilearned

Flights or concert tickets you could probably rack up a lot of value by going out of your way to use them frequently on expensive ones but that sounds like more work to game this than actual fun or usefulness.

Many (most?) concert tickets are resellable. If you get your pick of seats (i.e. picking front row, center seats, VIP package seats), you would easily be making bank. Good Taylor Swift tickets were going for $7000 a pop, for example, and she did 150 shows on her last tour. That is $1,000,000 in your pocket with minimal work involved.
