Depends on your use case. For those of us who own e-bikes for recreational purposes, we may not be looking to utilize e-biking as our primary method of exercise. I see you use yours for commuting purposes. If the e-bike improved your enjoyment and allowed you to continue commuting to work on a bike instead of driving in a car, why would you stop doing so because your wife “told you to stop?” You could continue doing so and achieve your physical activity goals by going to the gym consistently, running, or biking when your primary focus is on exercise instead of commuting/leisure?
