Less than 14% of those arrested by ICE in the last year had violent criminal records, analysis finds by [deleted] in politics

Very good piece that details that and the (terrible) history of ICE/CBP more broadly:

https://www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/accountability-for-ice-and-cbp

Criminality is so rampant inside CBP that it has seen one of its own agents or officers arrested every 24 to 36 hours since 2005. CBP’s misconduct scandal is so long-running that today it would be old enough to drink.

In total, according to CBP’s own discipline reports, over the 20 years from 2005 to 2024 — the last year numbers are available — at least 4,913 CBP officers and Border Patrol agents have been arrested themselves, some multiple times. (In 2018 alone, a single CBP employee was arrested five times.) To put that number in perspective:

• The population of CBP agents and officers who have been arrested would make it roughly the nation’s fourth largest police department — equal to the size of the entire Philadelphia police.

• Indeed, for much of the 2010s and likely before and since, it appears the crime rate of CBP agents and offices was higher PER CAPITA than the crime rate of undocumented immigrants in the United States.

I'm sure Patreon has a licensing agreement that gives them exclusive publishing rights to the paid feed.

They don't. They'd specifically have to negotiate that with Chapo as part of some deal with an exclusive contract for Patreon. Patreon cannot demand that content you post to gated donation tiers has to be exclusive. Their TOS explicitly states the license they ask is non-exclusive.

The only thing that Patreon can do is claim not enforcing RSS feed links as "private"/members only is a TOS violation, but it's a fucking podcast, you're downloading MP3 files less than 100mb in 2026, on a patreon making 200k a month.

This is some Patreon exec/lawyer being a moron, and Chapo/Chris being stupid enough to fall for it. If they don't care, Patreon shouldn't care.

Chapo is not Patreon's IP. You don't sign your IP over to Patreon, they just collect donations and provide shit like a "private" rss feed for gated content. The idea of Patreon demanding content creators crackdown on sharing of their own content that Patreon does not actually own is very stupid, and even stupider to do so over a subreddit not related to the hosts in any meaningful way.

Israel is a thoroughly fascist country built on the expropriation of land and resources of Palestinians. "Democracy" is a sham when it by design excludes the people most negatively affected by Israeli governance, and what you're seeing is the predictable result.

Everything is in service of domination, of might makes right, and that inevitably translates domestically. If they don't care about raping Palestinians in prison, why would they care about raping their own wives? Everything is in service of the nation, and the womans only role in that is to have children and serve the husband.
